It doesn't appear to be dialing a nine chevron address. It just appears to be dialing a standard address, with all nine chevrons lighting up when it locks. Not the same thing.
@MaKoToWorkShop Well mainly because thats the only language I currently know. Well anyway, if you ever think about making some Money by making other models of these you should let us all know. you would probably make allot of money.
Absolutely insane model! As for the circuitry, I'd stay with a single MCU (btw most have pin current limiting so you'll probably need no resistors in case your overall current would not exceed the maximum one for the MCU). Even in case you'd use external buffers (just NPNs and use port pins as input, switching the load with the pullup enable feature) it will be way smaller and more functional (could adjust stuff, dim LEDs etc etc).
it would be cooler if you could get the inner track to light up (idk how you would do that (hell idk how u did wat u did lol), just saying) like in the show.... check out the GMOD Atlantis gates to see how it is supposed to be (incase u DONT know) anyhow i have no clue how much work you might of went through just makeing that gate like that... im just saying that it would be cool[er] if u did that....
@MaKoToWorkShop well, 9cm is more then enough for SMD LEDs, those are very small - watch LED backlights on cell phones - those are exactly what you need. Just rig them up as a 6x6 scanning matrix and use a single MCU to drive them - only need 12 wires for those. Firmware is very simple for those btw.
@MaKoToWorkShop I'm going to try this en français so I apologize in advance for my grammar: Qu'en est-il en utilisant les longues bandes de LED très petits amateurs cas utilisation d'un ordinateur?
@MaKoToWorkShop no, no! Your English is much better than my French! I -umm- use an automated translator; it doesn't always get the grammar correct. There are websites targeted towards the computer case modification crowd that sell 1m long ribbons of LEDs. The ribbons might be thin enough to fit btween the inner and outer rings without impeding movement
Once again, I apologize for my poor French; of the ~7 billion people on this planet, 340 million are from the US, like me. -MORE-
@MaKoToWorkShop -MORE- So I have tried to teach myself as many languages as possible to the point where I can be polite because American English isn't the most spoken language on the planet, Mandarin Chinese is!
well the 8th chevron is dialed before the 7th is... as for the 9th i assume the same goes for that but i wouldnt know since that chevron has never been used.... (besides, in most cases the 8th and 9th chevrons ARNT used in the dialing sequence.... 8th is only used for intergalatic connections (Earth to Atlantis) and as for the 9th... (already told ya)) so yea......
When i made the electronic circuit for this model, i haved search for the good sequence in the episodes, but only found the dial for atlantis... and in my memory, when the 8th is used, the numbers of chevrons is shifted, so the usualy unused called 8th, is called 4th, the 4th became 5th, the 5th became 6th, and the 7th for the origin point earth became 8th.
So, in that order, it didn't looking strange as says sparky663.
BUT, in the case of my diorama with the jumper and orbital stargate, the 8th and 9th chevrons aren't used !
because it's just a call between atlantis galaxy's gate 7th chevrons.
When i see episodes with orbital gate, (never see the sequence entirely :( ) with the vortex ON, all the 9 chevrons are ON (never see that in SG1 cause the 2 chevrons buried... so ON or OFF state ?).
So for the model look like as though the atlantis episodes, i decided to light 8th and 9th in same time 7th before lights these OFF or lights 1 seconds after 7th, for the look
I hope my explanation is comprehensible, cause my english not very good ^^;

Please don't use concise text, i don't understand.
The scale of gate is very small (9cm diameter), so impossible to do what you suggest.
check my website for more explanation about this

@fuzzybeard2016
Thanks for the french text, but sorry, i'm not sure to understand what you mean.
Merci d'avoir écrit en Français, mais désolé, je ne suis pas sur d'avoir tout compris.
J'ai utilisé des LED 3mm de diamètres, cachée à l'intérieur de la maquette.
I used 3mm diaméter LED, blanked into the model kit.
Utiliser des bandes de LED nécessiterait de construire la maquette différemment.
Using «bandes de LED» will need to build the model kit differently
Sorry for my bad english level ^^;
