  • This was so nice to watch, which I saw it a few days ago before throwing my tea bowl! You made it look so simple...and on a side note... your shop is so lovely & CLEAN! :)

  • @hobbypotter Thanks for dropping me a line. My studio isn't always that clean, but I only have myself to blame if it's not. So that's motivation to clean when ever time permits. :) Have you been able to give tea bowls another try?

  • I like it ,, you are good on that wheel girl...I'm a fan:

  • @baileyslip You are too nice :D Thank you!

  • Wow, Nice form! What was the weight of they clay when you started and the shrinkage % when it first fires??

  • @30kellys Thanks! I was using 1 pound of Little Loafer white stoneware clay from Highwater Clay. I haven't fired that actual cup yet, but at bone dry it's 4.5" high, 4" wide at the top, & 2.5" wide at the foot.

  • Very nice! One of the few that I've seen work standing up and not supporting the arms. But you did have it already centered! :o) Still a very nice form and I like your touch on the bottom too. I keep learning from all you people who share their skills. Thanks!!

  • @pensandcalls - Yep, I get major lower back pain when I throw sitting down and much prefer to throw standing like this. I'm glad you liked the clip :)
