If the governor of Florida doesn't get BP to clean it , visitors will NOT visit the beaches , this applies for year 2011 . Theres many other beaches in USA you can visit , example san diego , south carolina , north carolina , etccc. Floridians need to get together and have something done . I have family members on the beach of Panama city beach , daily , and they check it out thereselves . You can't lie , doesn't get your anywhere .
I think the best thing we can do to help the folks along the Gulf Coast is to avoid canceling our vacations. Even though some of the beaches are pretty screwed, keep going and find some other things to do there... Their economy depends on tourism to keep them afloat. Don't cancel, folks! They need our support! Visit the resorts, patronize the restaurants, shops and other attractions! Lets not turn our backs on these folks!
I just wet snorkeling in the jetties at the state park less than 48 hours ago....it was fine! we had acorn to half dollar size tar balls but the currents and storms washed them back out in the gulf, the sheen is a bit further for now but trust be here in PCB there doing a LOT to prepare, im very impressed and quite pleased! It is sad whats coming though...
@briankofke OMG!! SOMEONE GET THIS DUDE SOME MIDOL BECAUSE HE IS OBVIOUSLY MENSTRATING! WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM? YOU ARE SO NEGATIVE. YOU ARE NOT IN PANAMA SO YOU DONT KNOW WHATS GOING ON DOWN THERE. I DONT EVEN KNOW YOU BUT FROM THE NEGATIVE STATEMENTS YOU MAKE I THINK YOU ARE AN IDIOT!
I am sorry if the truth of this catastrophy comes off as "negative". It is negative. My problem is that people (like yourself) have their heades so far up their asses that they can't even acknowledge what kind of disaster this is.What planet are you on? Here on EARTH we have an oil VOLCANO spewing millions of gallons of poison everyday. We have the very real possibility of EVACUATIONS due to poison gasses blowing inland, and you are supporting the tourist industry down there?
@briankofke my problem is people like yo dumb ass who makes stupid comments to other people such as keelybrooke. Who the hell do you think you are. I honestly think you are an arrogant, negative fool who doesn't know what the FUCK u talkin about with this situation or nothing else. I mean get a damn life. You on youtube talkin shit to folks that just tryin to be positive in this whole situation. GROW THE FUCK UP!!! You are probably some old, greasy, hairy as man. UGH!!! just pathetic.
@kiara2tay And my problem is with fucks like you that think that everything is OK. Let me make this clear; people living around the Gulf and the Eastern coasts of Florida will either be evacuated, or they will die. And I really hope people do not rely on the info your dumb ass provides. I hope you live near the Gulf so that when they put you into a FEMA camp you can remember reading this and say to yourself, "That guy was right".
Panama City Beach is part of the big ocean of oil spill. And with all those chemicals and oil in the water! This dude is asking a lot of people to come and kill themselves.Criminal!
is that bird covered in oil at 2:02 wouldn't he have flown if he could... he was only running - are you finding tarballs? i am very sad for Gods earth our home
Thank you for the Video Ive been coming to Panama City Beach Fl Sense I Was 14 years old im now 32 I Love This Place its almost Heaven on Earth.. Thank You
We returned last night from Panama City Beach, the pristine emerald green waters and white sands still exsist,, paradise, pray the oil spill is contained, no more harm to our environment!
Dude. What you are trying to do is to sell tourism. You have NO IDEA how big this is. Let me explain it to you chief; your way of life is OVER. The beaches from Chorpus Christie to Panama City, all the way down to the keys, around Fl, up the Atlantic side up to at least SC-ALL covered in oil and dead animals in less than a month. People, please wake up! This idiot is trying to sell you something that will be gone in a week.
@pcbdaily I really hope I am, but crunch the numbers! Just because they sprayed a chemical on the oil that makes it sink does not make it go away! It is all under the water now. If I were you, I would get the hell out of there NOW, because in a month things there will likely be quite a bit different. I tell you what; if in a week your beach is still clean and free of oil and dead animals, I will respond to this video and admit I was wrong.
@pcbdaily I hate to say I told you so, but the writing was, and still is, on the wall. Seriously man, get out of there. It is not safe, it is going to get worse, and no one is coming to help your economy. I feel for you, I really do. I wish you luck.
@briankofke Today is June 5th, 2010 and the oil just hit Pensacola, 3 hours away. Panama City Beach has not been affected as of yet and this was 3 weeks ago, so Brian, it looks like your psychic predictions or speculations were incorrect. You said, a week. What is your next prediction?
@KeelyBrookeT Yes, I was wrong. Your beaches have not been effected yet, but this is likely due to the fact that the dispersant has put it under the water. This theory is further strengthened by the many reports of giant rivers of oil miles long and hundredsof feet thick. I still stand by what I said earlier: I would leave there immediately, and the way of life there is over, and will never be the same.
@KeelyBrookeT Let me respond to your "psychic powers" jab. First of all, I do not take any pleasure in making observations and sharing my opinions about this catastrophe, so to paint me out as a "Psychic" is petty. I am not rying to be right, I am trying to help. If you truly believe that Panama City and the tourist and fishing industies will not be heavily impacted if not destroyed by this event, then you really are living in a reality that does not exist.
@briankofke I am living in a reality that does not exist. Interesting. I agree with your statement, that the fishing and tourist industry will be and have already been heavily impacted.
@KeelyBrookeT And what else is there in that area? Tourisim and fishing is about it! Your town will be like a coal mining town when the coal is all mined out. Unemployment will skyrocket, the costs of homes will plummet, and Panama City will be like Flint Michigan. If you can't see that this is where that region is heading, then yes, you are not living in reality. As difficult as this may be for you to acknowledge, acknowledge it you will in the near future.
