What do you mean when you say "calvinism?" How do you define it? I'm not talking about "calvinism" but what the Bible teaches. "Dubvishun" since I have personally talked to you on the telephone I already know that you are uncomfortable with God's election (Ephesians 1:1-11), the fact that He Himself makes someone "born again" (John 3:3-8), & He grants repentance (2 Tim. 2: 24-26). "Dubvishun" is simply a misguided soul much like our Hindu friend in the previous comments where he "thinks" he knows something but alas what he "thinks" does not match what the Bible clearly teaches. Unlimited Sovereignty of God means God cannot be defeated & He rules & controls everything & everyone: Genesis 18:14, Job 42:2, Isaiah 14:24,27, 46:9-11, 55:11; Psalm 115:3, 135:6; Jeremiah 32:17, Daniel 4:35, Romans 9.

The spiritual master of the Hare Krishna faith says many times that Jesus is God's son, and that as God's son, He is the perfect guru (in English, that means teacher). He even went as far as to say that we should know Jesus, because without knowing the Son, knowledge of the Father is incomplete. I can't help but agree.

Remember, people in the Bible called Him "rabbi" - teacher. Same thing as "guru." Either way, there's no question of reaching God without someone to guide the way - who better than God's son (who, at the same time, is God)?

A "rabbi" is a Jewish teacher teaching Jewish laws & doctrines passed down from Moses, not a "guru" teaching Hindu religious ideas. These terms are not the same. The Jews are God's chosen people not the Hindus, thus God loved them & gave His laws to them alone (Deuteronomy 7:6-26).

The point of Jewish law and "Hindu" law is to learn to love and serve God. The difference in terms is one word is Hebrew and the other is Sanskrit.

Also, Vedic scripture doesn't say anything about the people of India being "God's Chosen". It doesn't cover the Jews in that regard, but we have the Holy Bible to cover that ground.

Didn't you read Deuteronomy 7? If you had you would not have made these statements. Those in India, the "Hindus", were not chosen or even loved by God since they were not from Abraham's seed (the Jews). God's covenant was only with the Jews (Gen. 15). All others worshipped devils (Deut 32:17).

Yes, Bhagavad Gita backs up this fact up quite nicely, calling worship of gods such as Shiva, Indra, etc "the wrong way" (9.23) and people who worship them "of small intelligence" (7.23). True worship is reserved for the Supreme Person, and Him alone.

The Bhagavad Gita relates a dialogue between Arjuna, the warrior-prince, & his charioteer, Krishna, who is the disguised incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu. Hare Krishna doctrine makes Jesus Krishna's son & subordinate to Krishna which is pure nonsense from a Biblical point of view (Gal. 1:6-9).

And since Jesus emenates directly from God, He certainly can't help but BE God.

Yes, Bhavishya Purana 19:23 backs up the claim of Jesus's godhood, including the specific fact of his being born of a virgin. Verse 30 goes into how he taught God's principles through the Old Testament, as well as naming him "Isha-Masiha" (Jesus the Messiah). Thus, is proof given of Jesus's claim. Let no one tell you different.

Embree, pp. 255-56, "The Hindu Tradition" states that Chaitanya said, "Which knowledge is highest of all? Answer: There is no knowledge but devotion to Krishna." You must certainly realize that this contradicts Biblical revelation completely. Krishna is not the God revealed in the Bible & thus is cursed.

In Bhagavad Gita, Krishna makes the claims to being God and explains why He is. He is the source of all things manifest and unmanifest. He is the biggest and the smallest. No one can make that claim, except Jesus, who says that he is nondifferent from His Father ("I and my father are one"). Jesus Himself preached Devotion to God (The Lord's Prayer), same as Chaitanya.

The idea of Krishna being God does not contradict the Bible. In Hebrew His name is Yahweh, in Sanskrit, it is Krishna.

The overall attribute of the God of the Bible is holiness (Revelation 4:8) and He condemns the wicked (Psalm 7:11). Krishna of the Bhagavad Gita in Hindu traditions is the "Cosmic Lover" good with the ladies whether married or not & is a Joker stealing women's clothes. Krishna is a pagan god.
