Right sorry for the bad english I'm from Russia and it seems I'm the only fan of Guy Mitchell in Russia but I hope that is not in the world. Who knows, or can provide information or show where you can see all editions of the Guy Mitchell Show and his last concert in Australia on YouTube only 3 entries from the show please enjoy Guy Mitchell my most favorite singer give a link to a paid or free, or jump to view these videos He can buy online and beg
Hi!, Guy sang quite a number of songs prior to the official kickoff to what was to be called R&R. I did get familiarized with a ht or two by this guy owing to CKNW, the radio station my mom tuned into, otherwise I may never know him for the Wild Goose or the Pawnshop. My favorite is probably Truly Truly Fair. Thx4 posting
Dave here. Back in about '52 when I was 13, Mom liked Guy's song, "My Heart Cries For You." Those were, for me, the "days of ripening." Maybe I'll write a book. We were new transplants to South Daytona, FL, from Upper Darby, PA. We "discovered" fried chicken-in-a-basket at Runtz #2 drive-in restaurant; "How High the Moon" being played at the #1 (Hwy.) drive-in theater, etc., etc.
well my name is Guy Mitchell, I get old ladies singing down the phone at me occasionally. Got to love these golden oldies though. Big up the Mitchell!
Fantastic I have the song on an old 78 record and also on CD now but I remember it so well and I do a radio show and I play a lot of old classics like this and I always get lots of people ringing me to thank me for playing the old GOOD music.
I loved this song as a little girl - now I have a doctor at my surgery called Guy Mitchell - how long will I be able to resist singing this song to him - !!!
Bob merrill wrote most of Guys novelty songs and all of them were great! In the early 50s he was very popular in England . All of these songs make me very happy! Guy was the best!!
This was my favorite song when I was 4 or 5 in the early 50's. I had a small record player and played it over and over. I really wanted to be that girl in the red feathers. I've mentioned this song to people over the years and they just look at me like I'm some kind of freak. Thank's so much for confirming to me that I didn't dream the whole thing up!
omg!!!!! i'm 37 and grew up listening to this song....its taken me 3 yrs to find it cos i forgot the title...thanks sooo much 4 posting....fond memories
Guy mitchell's songs are Cheerful, simple and catchy. my dad bought me his greatest hits album when i turned 14. i still have it on vinyl.that was 30 years ago.If you can here us up in heaven Guy, keep playing them tunes! we love em!
What a blessing this site ( YouTube ) is for us Silver Surfers! I never thought that now I am in my mid seventies that I would be able to enjoy Video's from the fifties.Thanks a Million.
Funny I sitting here 25 years after my father passed away as he was a big Guy Mitchell fan, I still know all the words to the songs as Guy mitchell's was regularly played in our house mainly on a sunday morning for some reason I think back then it was regarded as a treat for me to play records on his old 1960's HMV record player when I was a child growing up. my dad even met Guy Mitchell once not long before he died which I know lifted his sprits very much.
Takes me back... No telly, just listening to the radio.....Thank's...

Guy Mitchell was born on this date in 1927. {Feb. 22nd, though some web sites state Feb. 27th}
Sadly, Mr. Mitchell passed away on July 1st, 1999... May he R.I.P.
