  • Press 2 then 4 to save 40 seconds of your life.

  • I love playing darts. Great bar sport. But it shouldn't be televised.

  • didnt tighten the shaft enough...

  • coolio

  • WOW, the plastic broke due to it colliding with the board. I'm tingling all over

    FFS, why even post this

  • mate, who really gives a shit about this video, i was really expecting more that this, we do this all the time

  • this is not a rare thing, and when they snap they can be a bugger to get out!

  • @IXIAdeIXI he actually said it is rare on television, which it is.

  • this was ranked number 4 on the all time shocking sports moments!!!

  • der weltmeister aus dem jahr 3 was kann denn da noch kommn

  • BROKEN

  • What is that, a 50g barrel? hehe It happens fairly often with nylon shafts but alloy? Obviously not tightened down. Way to go Mr. Pro.

  • never seen one break at the threads. mine always have the flight come out of the slots

  • This is absolutely amazing stuff. Never seen anything like it, will probably never ever again. Surely I'll talk and think about this for weeks to come.

I don't know if I'll be able to sleep now tonight.

  • @RuudJH I'm glad to see there really ARE people who are taking this seriously. I've been telling me mates down the pub about this for days now and they just don't seem to realise how rare this is. I've just given it another view and I've written some notes down and I'll give it another go tonight, just to make sure I keep it sharp and to the point.

  • @RuudJH lol well said

  • Wow... doesn't take much to please some people does it? A dart "beaking" hahahaha same people who consider Train Spotting an extreme sport!

  • it didnt even break you can still see the bobble bit on the end of the stem it just wasnt tightened properly.

  • @BarneveldDarts regardless, this video is still fucking dull

  • @dannyh95 you are wrong they were gripper shafts they lock in to de dart

  • Andy got 'shafted' !

  • anyone want to play in an online darts league useing dart pro and webcams visit dartproleague . com

  • Why when I try to reply to a specific post do all my posts wind up on top and not below the post I was replying to?

  • @gangstajjx No cheap shafts err I mean stems, don,t want to piss anyone off.

  • It did not come loose. it snapped off. He was using a nylon shaft. It happens, they even make a tool for removing the threaded part that is left in the barrel. The cool part of this vid is the slow motion where you see the flight and broken shaft flying up in the air.

  • @bnpdan12345 thats wat its called.. its the stem NOT the shaft

  • @omagh18 they are both correct, stem and shaft. Just depends what area you are from.

  • the shaft??? lmao noobs XDDD its called the stem lol

  • Hahahahahaha. No joy.

How many backup darts do they have?

  • It's just a shaft that broke. You replace it and move on.

  • but never seen it on tv before and after... so rare and cool slow-motion ;-)

  • @BarneveldDarts its not rare at all i see it all the time

  • @sawford1234 ok, i will wait till you upload a video... ;-)

  • @BarneveldDarts hapens to me enough

  • @BarneveldDarts

    Its not worth uploading

  • @BarneveldDarts omg most common thing to happen anyone who plays darts

  • @sawford1234 why do people just claim things as fact. I have played Viking league for 10 years now and have seen this happen maybe twice!! It's never happened to me.You see it all the time?? Do you throw pretzel rods in your league?

  • In this case, the shaft holding the flights broke off at the thread joint, which is fairly common. This is why so many players carry extra parts in their kits. With that, he'll be ready to throw again in a few seconds (you can see him making the repair at 0:27 - 0:41). Many don't like the feel, but I prefer aluminum-alloy shafts since they rarely break. Metal shafts might bend, but that usually requires a bit more abuse.

  • I was standing right next to him in a bookies! Didn't know who it was untill he left and my grandad told me.

  • who?

  • Isn't it priestly havin a broken dart?

  • hate when u also stick 1 dart into another drives me crazy also

  • yh but u r shit

  • owned

  • It's just a shaft...Happens lots of times

  • show me :-)

  • shaft comes loose when you play with them excessively, this bound to happen once.

  • again, then show me on video tape! ;-) !!

  • not every game of darts is on video mate. If you use Unicorn Gripper II shafts like Andy Hamilton then you will recognise this problem. I use the same shafts (in black) and this does happen pretty regularly if you play regularly. Not all players use these shafts and there's very little televised darts when you consider the amount of matches actually played each year, hence why you don't see it televised all the time, but it does happen all the time.

  • @UJSupanova I agree it happens a lot, but it happens far more often when the dart hits the floor after a bounce out. It is kind of strange to see it happen at the board.

  • it didnt come loose dumbass the stem snapped when his dart hit the board

  • damn it broke in half

  • kl =)

  • how cool is this!! :) And this slow-motion!! 5*
