  • Alvarez, te como la cara...

  • @melomane57 NO, il mezzo è Gloria Scalchi!

  • very good, too bad Marcelo plays with messa di voce etc...jrt

  • @josemuso1 sorry, what does jrt mean :P? (sorry for the dumb question)

  • super post !!!

    the best i've heard

Ciao.

  • una voz muy bella Marcelo!

  • All Wonderful. Mariella spectacular!

  • This quartet really won me over. Nucci has become legendary, and I love the way Alvarez approaches this also! Too many other tenors set the amplitude at forte and simply stampede through the delicate phrases. Not Alarez. He carresses each phrase and doesn't try to scream over top of everyone else. His high register seems secure and musical. Bravo!

  • Great! I love all :) Leo Nucci is a big Rigoletto also on stage as an interpreter and actor.

    Marcelo is..Marcelo :D and..go Mariella!! ;)

  • Molto meglio di Juan Diego Flores! Mercelo grande voce!

  • If you listen carefully to Pavarotti's early recordings you could find the same easyness and soothness trend in his voice as Marcelo has now, of course with some reservations. Maybe its just a matter of time (little time I hope) before Macerlo becomes the next Great Tenor. Nonetheless there are quite a few new Great Tenors around the corner that are beginning to be noticed. Which means, there is not going to be a void in Opera only because the Great Pavarotti is gone. Thank God.

  • Very good. Mr. Alvarez is very smoothe here.

  • Mariella rulez!!!

  • Faenol 2000 is better, all around. What a difference Denice Graves makes in a role that she would never sing in the opera. Alvarez is essentially the same as here...perfect.

  • Goodness, I didn't even know that Nucci was still alive, but he sounds just as good as when Sutherland was still performing. And while I agree that Marcelo Alvarez isn't quite Pavarotti, I'm beginning to think that he's the next best thing.

  • Nucci just sang his 400th Rigoletto this month! He's far dead.

  • AWSOME!!!

  • GRANDE VERDI

  • In my opinion the performance from Faenol Festival 2000 is much more better.

  • Marcelo Alvarez is the easiest tenor to listen to on earth. He's not as good as Pavarotti, but his voice is so easy on the ear.

  • Nucci is fantastic!

  • Suggest listening to Beniamino Gigli, Dino Borgioli, sopranos Galli Curci, Lily Pons and other singers from the Golden Age. No wobbles or throaty singers

  • Absolutely the best tenor today

  • I was there and I enjoyed a lot, unforgettable concert. I'm proud for Mrs. Devia (we are from the same district, brava Mariella).

  • I love Gloria Scalchi here

  • I agree he really does sounds very good

  • Marcelo Alvarez is veeeeeeery good!!!

  • Marcelo Alvarez, proud of Argentina :D
