  • Thank you Adam you rock!!!

  • thanks for sharing. keep these editing (video & picture/graphics) tutorials coming! you guys put out a great combo of videos!

  • Could i do this and HDR photos with just photoshop elements 8?

  • Or you could find a lonely homeless Photoshop CS4 and take it back to your computer and give it a good home... cough piratebay cough.

  • They way you edited that image added effects directly to the image, therefore destroying it, especially when in Jpeg format.

  • Hey Adam, as with all Photoshop techniques there are at least 8 different ways to achieve the same, or similar results. And, as yours works, there are such things as destructive and non-destructive editing. To begin, you should capture in RAW format, and then to color correct, use levels and curves but only in a new layer. Layers and masks are the MOST valuable tools in PS because they are reversible and savable.

  • Hey adam, I was wondering if u and other adam would make more videos togther because those were the best vids i have ever seen

  • That is clearly photoshop CS3 or higher

  • Its like i think the consumer level CS4

    But i know its CS4

  • What program are you running on your mac!?

  • Outstanding video, Adam! Thank you!

  • @ CocaCooler,

You should leave the background at baselayer, don't cut in that one.

Open photo's with a transparent background instead of white, so if you decide to cut in a layer, the can show the layer behind it in the erased area.

    Does that answer your question?

  • Hey guys, Lightroom 3 beta is available until April 2010 for free. (just Google it)

    Enjoy!

  • haha bush happy

  • when i make the 2 layers and edit each of them. when i erase stuff from one layer, it just comes up as white and it doesnt show the other layer. how can i fix this?

  • I had the same problem, when you go in to the eraser tool and you go to change the brush size it says master diameter and then below it it says hardness turn the hardness alll the way down see if that does the trick, hope it works for ya

  • Hey Adam!

  • Hey Adam, a thing I do with my photos is duplicate the layer and set the top one to overlay, then adjust the opacity to desired level. Creates a cool effect.

practically the same though, just a tad bit easier.

  • LR is made pretty specifically for editing, and batch editing raw data images. It's kindof a replacement for photomechanics. PS is more intensive for creating from scratch and layouts etc and breaking down your images, retouching etc.
