There are limits to freedom of speech. If your invocation of said freedom results in an endangerment of any kind to any person (in this case, the President) then that freedom is waived.

I don't think it was as simple as the protesters being blocked and supporters being let through. At almost all campaign events, tickets are given to Party members and (after going through very intense security checks) they can wave a flag and shake hands with McCain as he enters/exits a building.
The issue in this clip, however, is that some protesters feel that certain streets were closed restricting their access to protest. The secret service, Not the police, decide what streets are closed.

As logical as your reasoning is, it doesn't matter whether or not the protesters had malign intentions or not. What does matter is that the U.S. Secret Service takes every imaginable precaution to ensure the safety of their protectee.
For the President, entire cities are shut down to limit road traffic and any possible threats. This is simply a case of people (the hillbillies in the video) having no clue about common sense standard Secret Service procedure.

There are limits to freedom of speech. If your invocation of said freedom results in an endangerment of any kind to any person (in this case, the President) then that freedom is waived.
It's ironic that you accuse the Secret Service of "suppressing" freedom of speech, but by protecting the President from any possible threat they are actually preserving that freedom. If President Bush was killed while he was in office our government would be forced to institute Marshall Law with NO freedoms.

I don't think it was as simple as the protesters being blocked and supporters being let through. At almost all campaign events, tickets are given to Party members and (after going through very intense security checks) they can wave a flag and shake hands with McCain as he enters/exits a building.
The issue in this clip, however, is that some protesters feel that certain streets were closed restricting their access to protest. The secret service, Not the police, decide what streets are closed.

Whatever happens I don't want John McCain to win. McCain means another 4 years of Bush's failed policy especially the failed foreign policy with this pointless war in Iraq.
