@Krisp456 My largest was a 5lb black bass caught on a 4" Texas rigged worm. I try and target spotted bass at Oroville, where you can catch and release 100 fish a day. Of those 100 fish, only about 15% will be over the slot. Pound for pound, nothing fights like a spotted bass.
@Lakers2010ish My all time most productive spotted bass lure at Oroville is a 41/2 curly tail hologram shad roboworm on an 1/8 oz dart head set up. A 4" pumpkinseed power worm fished Texas style is a good bet also. This time of year, fish late in the day or in the evening. good fishing!
@Lakers2010ish fishing Oroville without a boat is tough, HWY 162 crosses the lake twice and just beyond the second bridge you can access the lake at Foreman Creek. Some times you can do allright at the dam. April and May are your best bet, in summer avoid the heat of the day. Good Luck
you ever catch any big bass in oroville, I haven't and even tried throwing a 8 inch swimbait for a day. Love fly fishing there for bass though

Senko worms, weightless, in natural colors would produce bigger fish.
