@WikiSorcerer A spin-off of Batman Beyond, if I remember correctly. I want to say Zeta was also in the Batman Beyond finale, but I might be making that up.
Yeah, some of today's stuff is still fun to watch. Still, would be cool if someone picked up this show again to give it some new episodes, even an ending.
This show though set in the same universe as batman beyond is more heroic and lighthearted compared to the dark and brooding tone of batman beyond. But it still looks great considering it's by the same team behind the DC animated universe. Also terry mcginnis the second batman would make an appearance on the show.
For god's sake, you fucking nostalgiafags. If you weren't so insecure about your manhood, if you watched some cartoons today, you'd realize a lot of them are still fantastic.
Man, waking up every Saturday in the morning in my pj's, eating Fruit Loops, and watching The Zeta Project, Batman Beyond, Freakazoid, and Static Shock and Card Captors. Those were the good old days.
No school like the old school. Thumbs up if ya feel me.
I loved this show!!! I wish they made more episodes, this only lasted 2 seasons sadly :( and I wish they would go back and make more, I bet many feel the same way.
Man, the golden days of Saturday mornings. Love this show, and the intro is so epic. I feel bad that kids of the 2010s won't get quility like this. (ps this is 2000s, not 90s.)
no days like the good old days This show, Freakazoid Animaniacs Pinky and the Brain Batman Beyond Batman the animated series (1990s) Goof Troop Dark Wing Duck Static Shock Justice League Invader Zim and TIN TIN !!!! best shows ever made
This show, Staick Shock, disney's gargoyled, DWD and Batman beyond were the best shows on saterday mornings, I remember racing my sister for the remote so I could watch this show.
Man. I remember Zeta Project. I definitely remember there was a crossover between this and Static Shock, but I can't seem to find the episode. Does anyone know what the name of the episode is?
took me ages to remember the name of this show, I loved getting up for school and watching this before I left, the good times before kids tv got crap.
i agree,I miss the old fox kids the old kids wb,all we have now is the shitty CW4kids,the only thing I watch now adays is TMNT and Spectacular spiderman, tv died for me after Avatar the last airbender ended.
@dianniscool While that's true, I still think the quality of 90's shows is better. They were more elaborate, included sci-fi themes and extended to a teenage audience. Now, they are pretty much just for kids, with kids being the protagonists. Besides, no opening song from this decade has ever reached the quality of these. MiB, Godzilla, Max Steel, Johnny Quest (the new one), they all had superb themes.
The 80s were the golden age, or one of them at least, of cartoons. (the 90s were pretty good too.)
But yah, kids these days even with being able to see the oldies, the classics like Loonie toons don't get the same experience because people are afraid that they'll get sued for showing daffy get shot in the face.. :\
*sighs*
I am not old, I am not old, I am not old, I am not old.
@leather619 yup, as of this moment, im 19yo. I miss watching this show and batman beyond. And I will always miss saturday mornings. The best years for me were from 1995 to 2004.
@leather619 This was in 2000 so I was 8 years old back then, I am 19 years old now and Damn it man, I cannot ignore the face how right you are, Saturday morning use to mean something. It meant watching Kick ass cartoons and having Sugary Cereal while letting our brains drain out the educational necessecities from the week and just relax. The future generation are going to miss out on a lot of things.
@leather619 a-fucking-men to that brother. I remember being a dopey fourth grader waking up with no cares whatsoever, ready to watch the GOOD yugioh, batman beyond, zeta, static shock, and shit don't forget toonami on the weekdays which has also been replaced with crap (destroy build destroy, total drama fuckshit island, et cetera)
This. Static Shock, And Batman Beyond were the badasses of WB I hate this shit they show know go bak to the good stuff stuff that gave me a reason to get up a 6 in the morning
@flmae46 Totally agree with you. Ha. Know whats funny about that? All three shows... The Zeta Project, Batman Beyond, and Static Shock coincide with one and other. Zeta originated from a Batman Beyond episode, and there are Static Shock episodes where Virgil meets Terry.
To those of you saying you didn't see this on tv, I highly encourage you to look for it now; I watched almost every episode...I think I only missed maybe one or two, and I personally think it's one of the best Saturday morning cartoons ever aired. The story was exciting and engaging and the characters were some of the best developed I've seen in a kid's show. A few episodes even made me cry. It is definitely worth looking up if you haven't already.
yeah, I do agree that it sounds somewhat similar to JQ's theme song, even the use of a grid pattern for the 3D stuff is also reminiscent of JQ's intro. But that's okay by me, cause I love both this theme song and JQ's as well. They both have portion of the song where the emotion suddenly changes to a darker tone (0:40 for zeta's case), which I'm all for.
Someone else can tell me what Ro said at the end of the openning? I'm creating no-official subtitles to the serie here in Brazil and i can't understand what she said...
Static Shock, Zeta Project and Batman Beyond wasn't given a chance, by their networks. These shows were ahead of their time and if given a proper run they would've lasted twice as long as they did. but back in the early y2k decade, networks were canceling great shows left and right.
oh my god! watching the intro for this is really nostalgic, but it's not THAT old right? i remember getting up on saturdays to watch this, it was one of my favorites...
Seriously. I was in high school and saw this afternoons when I got home. I was pretty impressed--and it amazes me that such a decent kids show (with a great intro, I might add) was aired as late as 2001-2.
Same can't be said of most kids shows today--especially considering how most of the Saturday morning kids blocks are dissolving and the afternoon/morning blocks are already history.
I'm here imagining how could be if The Zeta Project became a live action Japanese Series, just like The Power Rangers and so much others; with Japanese actors playing the main characters and adapted story in a futuristic Japan, with Japanese names within. Yes, I used to imagine a black-haired Japanese Rosalie-chan with her partner called Zetto. It would be great, because Japanese people love so much robots and action series.
Same here. Those were the days, and it sticks with us even know. Kids today dont get the same dosage of awesome tv shows like we did back then, even if it really wasnt that long ago xD
Are you familiar with the Short Circuit movies? This is a more futuristic version of that but the personality is way different from Zeta. By the way i love the music can you find it for me?
This show was a 90s one, unlike the normally ranted about cartooons on youtube which tend to have come out in the 80s. However for saying that this program came out at the same time as we were being bombarded with Japanese shows it still looks pretty damn cool.
Granted I am a wee bit biased as a long standing fan of Short Circuit
This catoon wcool nd funny and the story was very good made as the best cartoon ever in my opinion coz it was simply perfect, the show graphics were really good, the characters were cool and funny and the story was very good built and my favourite character is ZETA,, i mean he is like the best hero ever and he is very cool shaped but man! Why did they cancel the show if it was so good???
