Power Boat Top Speed

For some reason 800 hp in 900lb boat going that speed is not that amazing to me. A friend of mine is running 110 mph in a 30 ft boat with a single 900 hp..that seems pretty impressive to me. Just my opinion.....good luck keeping that alpha together!!!

A lot of people outside the US will call a nitrous oxide system nitro injection. Has nothing to do with running nitromethane as fuel. This boat is burning gasoline and has nitrous oxide system. You can hear him hit the button, and it also explains why the second pass was slower. The bottle pressure was lower. I have nitrous on my Glastron and the 1st pass on a full bottle is always the fastest. Still, that's a fast damn boat. Sounds like the announcer is speaking German.

Whoever did the comments on this is what we say here...FULL OF SHIT. If he IS running a 25 inch prop, he is turning OVER 7000 RPM to get 124.5 mph...BULLSHIT. I can believe the 124.5 mph. He is NOT injecting NITRO into the motor (BULLSHIT) but he might be using juice...nitrous oxide. Nitro and gas mix like water and oil. Years ago in Waco, Texas at the SBDA, there was a Glastron with a SB running 105 WITHOUT nitrous in the quarter mile.

the boat was originally a cvx 16 with a 115 mercury

he reconstruct and blueprinted all the boat to accept a 550 hp all motor 355 cu in + nitrous oxside he have a special geared alpha one mercruser with a secial bracket to give setback to the leg and run a thined and blueprinted 25 in pitch cleaver

he made a lot of R&D on this boat since 1981

and of course i had made a run in this boat!!
