  • Trust me when I say this not everyone in the world is so ignorant as to think that people get fat because they want to. I apologise so much for all the ignorants out there that made you feel like that. All the people out there that told her she was greedy or an addict. You did this to her. You made that scar on her stomach, you made her cry , you made her suffer physcial pain so she could look how you expect her to look. This world disgraces me...

  • So the easy way out is a treadmill? Lol. Right...

  • Surgery is painful no matter what.

  • Damn you, fucking haters! You should be ashamed of yourself!Even if she was eating too much and ended up being fat, she is a human being first! She and all fat people have feelings, damn it!With your cruelty you make these people cry.

My own father sometimes is asshole about fat people, even to me.He said to me sometimes he cant love me fat.Can you imagine how hurtful it is?!Just because of my appearance!I am less of a human? And I am not even THAT fat.Its painful!I cant even describe how much.

  • I went to your blog. You look great!

There are some surgeries where you can feel much worse before you feel better. Tonsillectomy as an adult is another surgery like that. When first out of surgery you feel pain but as the days progress, eating very little affects your mood horribly in addition to the pain.

I am about to get VSG, BTW, and I'm very worried about it. But I'm also worried about the consequences if I don't get it.

  • There is NOTHING easy about having your insides cut out, your stomach being re-routed, the fights with the insurance companies, and the cost. Everyone says "Just work out and Eat Less" Well, the contestants on Biggest Loser did that, however, MANY have gained their weight back as well.

  • hey don´t give up ok i understand it very well an i am with you common chin up i also have some of problems like these

  • @MrJeremie2009 why the fuck would you say something like that to someone you don't even know? at least she'd trying to do something about being being fat.

  • bless your heart sweetie. I feel for you hun. I will continue to watch and follow you along your journey as I can. Good luck. If you ever need a shoulder just inbox me. Keep ya chin up, I am about to go thru it myself am just starting the process.

  • first of all u people that have not had the gastric bypass have no room to say whether its easy or not stop judging people and if u dont have anything constructive to say keep it to yourself,u just sound bitter

  • im so sorry you had to go thru this pain im soooo sorry

  • Health at every size its what the world needs!!

  • I am set up for a surgery, but having second thoughts recently. People gain weight for lots of diffrent reasons. Some actually have a problem with genes.

  • I literally love you. You are beautiful and amazing. And you went potty on you tube lol high five lol

  • i love your honesty and sincerity...it was your video that inspired me

  • awe darling darling this video made me cry. your beautiful in this video-yur beautiful before this video and your still beautiful today. you are a soldier honey.

  • my heart goes out to you girl. surgery is not an easy way out. it's my only hope for a normal life! i am thankful to have met my doctor from southcoastlapband who is a lap band patient himself. how cool is that :)

  • It's like pulling a thorn, it hurts at first but in the end you feel so much better.

  • When I go to the Gym and get on the tred mill, after about the 2nd mile I start crying and I’m like do you think this is easy? This is not easy, then I do some sit ups and cry some more, then I go home and eat cabbage soup and Im like this is horrible, this is not easy! This is hard, I just want to go to a buffet and eat all the food I can and then I cry some more. Because it’s not easy to lose weight.

  • @gapalafox

Its hard, but weight loss success is its own reward. I was overweight and sick as a dog but somehow I forced myself to exercise daily for 6 months, pushing through the pain. I really don't know how i did it, I guess I was faced with even more medical problems, or exercise. Its an easy choice with life staring you in the face

  • @gapalafox Good for you. Now imagine doing all that AND having had the surgery. But you only get 1/2 of the portion of cabbage soup, and breakfast? Nah you don't need breakfast - have a yucky tasting protein shake instead! If you still think gastric bypass is the easy way out - you're ignorant.

  • @NewEnglanddur I never said gastric bypass was easy, let me break it down for you Barany style! I cant believe this fat bitch is complaining about how hard it is, as if the rest of us don’t have to go through shit, like we should all be able to have slim sexy bodies for free and not have to work for it. I mean Jesus Christ you must have to pig out 5 times a day for 20 years to get that FAT! What, somebody that does that should face no consequences and life should be all easy?

  • @gapalafox Someone who has an eating disorder is already facing consequences. It's painful to be obese, uncomfortable, causes shortness of breath, limited mobility, etc. Plus there are assholes like you who go around insulting someone who is already down. Would you insult an anorexic in the same way? Because they choose not to eat? I for one, have always had to work at staying slim, my older brother can eat (and does) whatever he wants and never gains a pound.

  • @NewEnglanddur I have to have a Gym membership and eat my own home cooked meals just to not be fat. You and I both, the whole time while others eat what they want and are just genetically skinny. We must be victims right? JESUS CHRIST give me a break! And yes I would tell somebody who is anorexic to rethink there body image and eat some food. You did say “they CHOOSE not to eat” right? Just like when your pants start fitting you tight, you know it’s a choice you made don’t you.

  • @gapalafox So the cure for eating disorders is to insult the person and/or tell them to "rethink their body image and eat some food." SMH. You are so ignorant, it's unreal. I work in healthcare, however, it's not asking much from a layperson that they understand about eating disorders and that the cure isn't to tell someone to "rethink".

  • @NewEnglanddur No, to tell a person who has anorexia to rethink your body image and eat some food. In fact is not the cure.If that person took that advice and put it into play in fact would be the cure.I think it is possible for a person to do that but if its not and im just so ignorant for thinking that well maybe I am. In this case maybe a person with such a condition should be diagnosed with a terminal illness and should be treated as a hospice patient, not surgeries and therapy

  • Thank You~ I am 1 week out of laparoscopic RNY. My new motto is I have power, I have power over food, I have POWER over EVERYTHING! God Bless You!

  • awww :3 cheer up cause the benefits you'll see after the pain hunny .. LUVS 4 ever

  • Your an amazing person to put this on here ....... your fantastic

  • Poor lady. I hope she was able to

    Lose the weight.

  • oh wow :( pore thing

  • My mom went through the same thing and is 3 months post op. I heard her cry, I saw her in pain, and I listened to her scary tales.

As much as I love my mom, I still don't like the idea of Gastric Bypass.

My starting weight was 300 and now I'm down to 284 in one since August 2011 exercise and eating better alone.I believe the surgery isnt for everyone, and there are too many people who are not Lisa's size getting the surgery. Glad this video is out. People need to know what they will face.

  • thank you for sharing. I know it's not easy! God bless you...

  • @NiNibubby I did. Did you type "Sargese" into the search box?

  • I'm sorry you're sad!

  • You are Gnarly! I love what you are doing for yourself! Best of luck on all of your future endeavors and God Bless!

  • I am so sorry for the way they treated you when you got your band! I'm a Scrub tech who actually works in these types of surgeries, that wasn't right for them to treat you like that, I commend you for you for being proactive! The way they treated you is just so unprofessional!!

  • bigol igl bies!

  • dont cry ur brave woman and ur doing it for ur self at the end of th eday be proud of ur self...

  • Hope all has gone well with you. God Bless you and your courage to help yourself.

  • Lisa, this was difficult to watch but what you did was very brave and I applaud you for being REAL about what you experienced and I hope that today you are living a healthier, happier life. What a lot of people do not understand is how all the extra weight affects us women hormonally and that if you don't find a solution to your emotional reasons for overeating, the surgery will be both emotionally and physically painful.

  • I thank you for your video you were very helpful and I wish you well on ur weight loss

  • U are very couragous.... Good luck

  • god bless you.good luck to you

  • OOOOOOOO MY LORD....im in tears..omg hugs hugs

  • my friend. you should be strong, the way is not easy, but at the end, is the gold. only keep trying please, if other persons can, you can do it too. you are not less than anybody. ok.

  • Lisa my heart goes out to you! I am having RNY this summer and I want to thank you for your honesty. Your video made me cry, and you are not weak and you are a beautiful person! Thank you for this video!

  • you need depression meds

  • Screw all the pious, thin people. Unless you have ever had a weight problem there is NO way you can possibly judge. Im 52 and I've been struggling with my weight since puberty.

  • omg its really hurt when i see you cry :(

  • I feel for you. I'm so sorry, it looked so hard. I battle with food addiction and I plan on getting help. I'm so sorry to hear this and see that you're suffering :-(

  • Hey don't cry it's fine, I don't think it's the easy way out and I don't judge over weight people, I'm not over weight but I don't think It's right to lower someone's self esteem by saying stuff like that Guess what, your beautiful no matter what and you are very brave to do something like this and I hope you feel a lot better.

  • omg i feel so bad for her! im not far from her weight and i can totally see how she needs some better support, she seems to be alone in this fight. I hope she wont give up! I wish you all the luck in the world - and just know that there are people who care how you are doing. You just dont know them.. OMG i wish i could be there to comfort her, at least she has her kitty!!! Thats all she needs- this one is a fighter! I just know it! keep going gf:)

  • How are you now? Have you adjusted yet?

I did a simliar thing many years ago and it was the best thing I ever did.

Good luck. Do not give nay time to people who offer negative input. They simlpy do get it!

  • thank you Lisa for your honesty and vunerbality...God Bless

  • Its common for bariatric patients to experience depression after surgery. Im sure she is a great today

  • omg my heart goes out to her, :( wtf i hate this shit, i hat that we have this problem :( im so sorry, i just want to hug her,

  • I wanted to cry my self my parents got that done my dad is anemic

  • spirit,,,,always spirit,,,

  • :c poor woman... i wish her luck..

  • God Bless you for going through that, no one should judge you based on weight, its not right, and people don't seem to understand that when someone looks at you because you are heavier or call you fat what sort of effect it has on your personally... I myself am battling with my weight right now... I used to be skinny, then got hit with PCOS and it just packed a lot on me...props to you, I am sorry you had to go through this painful surgery...

  • Thank you for sharing what you did today takes courage to do it.

  • omg poor you, im sure it will be worth it in the end, be strong, hugs and kisses

  • -big hugs-

  • Bless your heart sweety....

  • omg you make me not wanna do it now

  • PLEASE HANG ON IN THERE SWEETIE THE ONLY WAY IS UP GURL AND THINK POSITIVE THIS IS THE BAD POINT SO CONCENTRATE ON THE FUTURE YOU WILL GET BETTER GOOD LUCK HUN IM BEHIND YOU DELIA XXX

  • oh wow. i can't imagine your pain. hope that the surgery has been a success for you. keep us updated

  • This almost made me cry, I hope she is doing well now and recovered nicely.

  • this video is so beautifull

  • why do we accept smoking people with heart disease or lung cancer, but we say that obesity is their own fault.

hope you are doing better now..........lost alot of weight en having no regrets.

  • oh my good lord i hope u feel better lisa

  • I hope you feel better nowdays Lisa

  • Im sorry sweetie, I'm looking into gastric or lapband. No, sweetie, this isn't the easy way out.. LIfe is hard when we are over weight, people abuse us and look down on us. I pray you are all well now...God bless you.

  • @sweetstephana dont do the lap band do the sleeve instead....with bipass and you have to take supplements the rest of your life with banding there are lots of complications like twisted ports for inflating the balloon . erosion of the esophagus etc.. a lot of people i know that have lap band said it failed for them. My wife had the gastric sleeve. she lost 115 lbs she is 5`2 went from 238 to 117 currently.

  • It doesn't matter what others think. The main thing is you are on your way to your own personal success. I wish you the best of luck! God bless and I hope by now you would have accomplished your journey.

  • i feel you miss it happen to my aunt.

  • @remarkablethoughts good luck and i hope it goes well.

  • its the government putting gluten in our foods and poisioning americans, it is in the foods!!!!! we have to wake up!!! and start eating more fruits and veggies,

  • @debz12180 YEP! and move and remain active. I am guilty of not doing this

  • “I definitely support Whole Foods, and believe in your products, but I am a little shocked to hear what has gone on with the New Chapter Bone Strength product and ingredient switching. If this article is true then I don't understand how Whole Foods could let this happen? This should be addressed.”

  • Easy wtf are these people fucking stupid this is the most hardest way to loose weight easy is giving up and maam you didnt give up your a strong person and no matter what your beautiful and god bless you

  • Some people will never understand what it's like to be 100 or 200lbs overwieght and that someone would DO ANYTHING not to be overwieght!!!! I hope things have improved for you!!!

  • I am 4 days post op and I feel your pain sweety. Your strength is an inspiration to many. thank you for sharing your painful struggles. I would like to keep in contact with you.

    Nat xoxo

  • I am going to get it, and now I am very scared....... :(

  • @babyhamstr13445 that was done in 2006 they have changed the way they have done the incesion drastically... now the only was to have an incesion that size is if you donot lose the amount of fat the dr has ordered and you still have a fatty liver... I had it done and it is only three dots and an 2 inch line

  • @babyhamstr13445 Why don't you just eat healthily and exercise?

  • @VSL123 Do you think most people who get weight loss surgery haven't tried that? Do you have any idea how HARD it is for most people to lose 100-200 pounds? IT's not like losing 5 pounds so you can fit into a bikini for summer. It's much harder and you don't get to be that overweight without emotional problems, low self esteem and food addictions. Some people need more help than others. It doesn't make them weak, it just means they need something else. You still have to eat healthy and exercise

  • @TheREALbpk You don't even know what you are talking about. No she is not going to be prone to the same diseases, because a grand majority of those diseases are caused by BEING obese. You do not know what you are talking about or you would know how many people who have WLS report that they are no longer diabetic or have high blood pressure or arthritis. How dare you know NOTHING about WLS and judge others, you think that people get surgery and it all magically comes off?

  • @TheREALbpk If you believe half of what you just said yo9u are not only ignorant but stupid. Losing weight with WLS for most people is still HARD. They still have to push themselves to eat the right things and to go to the gym and to follow the rules. I have zero patience for people like you who know nothing and yet still find the time to be self important.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheREALbpk See, the difference between you and I in knowledge. Being that i have some and you don't. If you were never fat you are an attention seeking liar. If you were fat then you are a terrible, disgusting little person who feels as though they are better than others. Since you seem interested i am starting to look DAMN good. And I do run a mile, I run 2.5 miles every day. I know that I will get to my goal weight and I feel so happy about it.

  • @TheREALbpk I am happy with my accomplishments and comfortable with the things I have not yet achieved. I will have all that i want to have. You however will obviously always be fat on the inside, since you have to resort to capitalisations and name calling in an attempt to make someone feel bad about being obese when you yourself were. You are a sad, disgusting person. You will never be healthy, not in the ways that count.

  • @slenderlovingcare i was in this ladies boat... till my mom goes... "you do anything except for diet and exercise" since then ive dropped 150 lbs... and my only excuse is i put as much effort into losing weight as i did complaining about it. i got another 60 to go and i got about 50 lbs of skin hangin off me. This lady probably complained about her weight till the day she got her surgery. Now shes crying that she got it. i bet if she won the lottery she could find something to cry about.

  • omg.. Thank you for sharing this with the world. God bless You

  • i understand you, the world never will, unless you have fought this fight yourself, you just can't understand, Sister you are going through the fire and your coming out gold, I want to see where your at now, something that the doctors do not tell you is the emotional roller coaster you go through, the joy, rage, anger, sadness and hope all at once

  • easy way out my butt.. i feel like punching them in the face when they say that to me..

keep up the good work.. it gets easier.. let me know if i can help babe!!

  • @baconbum88 r u human ????? how could u find this funny

  • inspirational, thanks

  • I'm feeling for you watching this video. I can't stand it when skinny people think they understand....or the people who do not struggle with their weight. It's a very hard journey. I hope you're doing much better now.

  • Why did they do such a huge incision? I have one 3.5" insicion and that was no easy thing to deal with. I hope the results are worth the first few months.

  • I just had a RNY 12 days ago...I know the feeling. I send you all my best. You're not alone ;)

  • OMG!! I wish you luck on your journey...you have me in tears...

  • ooow... i feel your pain.... iam crying ryt now here... god is with you

  • when i look at you all i see is beautiful.........I hope that your doing better.......

  • hi huni , i know your feeling ! im well nearly 20 stone , but getting to gastric op too soon , been for meetings , i bet you look well now 4 years down the line ! but that does look painful , but its not any easy opp out people are cruel hun ! i was bullied at secondary school due to being big ! x

  • my dear friend, please, don't cry, I could feel your pain and I felt so powerless to help you. you have done the right thing for you, just be patient, in time you will get healthier, look better and happier. Just stay strong. Tell yourself that finally you are on the right path. I feel your pain and I will pray for you. Be strong. you are right, most of the times animals give us so much hope, more than people. I LOVE YOU. always your friend Naira

  • Hay it is not the easy way out! I'm sorry that you had such a tuff time at first.

  • :( awww

  • omg i know how u feel no one ones what it feels like were big and if we dont get help we die ill pray for u mamas

  • god bless you. i know this is old. but my heart goes out to you and i hope you have achieved your goals. im 34, had open surgery like you, i was 403, now 9.5 years later im stil down to 186lbs! i love life, it was worth the hell i know you and i both went through. god bless you dear. looks like your little buddy there cares! cute cat!

  • i felt SOSOSOSO bad when she started crying ;/

  • Oh, maan... Girl, I am so sorry you are in such a pain:(((( God bless you!.. I do hope you'll be ok. All the best wishes!

  • People can be so cruel sometime to judge somthings they dont understand.. I think your a brave woman and I hope that you did this for yourself and not because of how others looked at you.. God will love you no matter how you look and hes really all that matters.. !

  • hey at least you're not dead lady...a friend of mine never woke up from the surgery...so get over it

  • @theantiboop... that was not nice

  • GOD Bless you Ma'am

  • looking at yourself now do you think it was worth it?!

-because im 15 and i am almost 400 pounds bt im 6'3 so its not as bad as it sounds,.but i just wanna know your point of view

  • I feel her pain.

  • your cat loves u, be strong

  • People who criticize others for getting this surgery should keep their noses and comments to themselves....if you havent walked a mile in a fat persons shoes then you have no idea how horrible it is to be a fat person...its so bad fat people are willing to undergo dangerous life-threatening surgery and suffer its after effects to try to conform in a "normal"persons world....to all of you that are a normal weight count your blessings...you could have ended up fat

  • people think this surgery is a quick fix,but you MUST CHANGE the way you eat for the REST OF YOUR LIFE!!!!!! Carnie Wilson has gained back almost all of the weight she lost!

  • @Daisy72762 NO....Carnie Wilson is still 100 lbs lighter then when she had surgery...by WLS guidelines she failed because she gained back 55 lbs but id still call that a victory...yes she is still fat...and yes she will still have obesity related complications, but at least she can move around more and has a shot at living a life.....and shes still a fox

  • @Jreyes2265 No. It's the ONLY way out for long-term obesity sufferers. In my case, after over 50 years of serious, repeated attempts to lose weight, I was heavier than ever and anxious about starting yet another diet because it only ended up with me feeling demoralised. Surgery wasn't cheap, it was uncomfortable, but now I can look forward to a productive old age and good health. I just wish I'd been able to do it years ago.

  • @vickynz100 Yes, of course it's just a matter of eating less. (Doh!) And if you can tell me (and the medical professon) why people overeat, despite being able to be successful, restrained, disciplined people in every other area of their life, then you'll solve the world's obesity problem.

  • Bless your heart darling. I hope you are better now...

  • God bless your heart.

  • 0MG...iM CRYiNG F0R HER I FEEL BAD...THEY FUCKiNG BUTCHEd HER UP...

  • I feel your pain. I am having gastric bypass soon and I know it is not the easy way out. I would love to see a recent video. Hope you're doing well now. Did you have the open surgery?

  • I am strictly anti-WLS and I'm shocked and surprised that people claim to "do their research" when the bariatric industry refuses to release detailed stats about all of this pain and suffering. Ironic, some will keep defending and selling WLS even under this very frank video.

  • Comment removed

  • @luvembigger yeah...you are strictly anti-WLS because either you are thin or are a fatty and happy with it...how about all of us that are fat and suffering...that have tried and failed at every diet that has been invented? Yes it hurts and yes it is very painful...but if you were fat you would be willing to trade a year of discomfort to end the stigma and ridicule you get as a fat person...to be able to buy clothes at a store and not from catalogs, so many things thin folks take for granted

  • please tell it's ok for u i hope ur fine now and u not have a complication when i saw ur vid i were so sad but it's for u good, to be healthy!!! courage!!!

  • povera donna...

  • Stay strong woman :(

  • but I have faith that everything will go well and that only one stage in my life I will have to overcome eq going to be good and wonderful I have to think about myself and my son Three years I want to see it grow and be in good health, a big kiss for you and force you gonna get.

  • oh my dear I hope your pain goes away soon ... so I believe you're going to have to eat little and suddenly leave the past behind, have faith that you'll do, I'm waiting to do the gastric sleeve surgery, and know that I suffer a lot and go through much yet,

  • =( poor lady

  • Christ, my head looks like a melon. More and more proof that obesity is an inflammatory disease. The more I learn about nutrition the more I understand the pain I felt in this video.

  • This makes ME feel extremely lucky that I'm skinny, no ofense, to anyone with weight problems, good luck out there

  • @Lemonlime947 Your comment makes ME feel extremely lucky that I'm highly educated and know how to use spellcheck when leaving a comment. No offense, of course. Good luck out there!

  • I hope the best for you. Being over weight is like living in a jail cell but it's you own body. Godbless you.

  • Oh......<3 to you. I am going to look for an updated vlog. Can't wait to see how you're doing NOW......leave the past in the dust.

  • Not judging - because I am in OA and I am powerless over food....someone does not get to be 100+ pounds overweight (as I am) if they are not powerless over food. Gastric Bypass Surgery is like a band-aid, it fixes the symptom but the problem is still very much there until or unless you work on the reasons you became overweight. You're right, WLS is NOT an easy way out, it looks extremely painful but there is an easier way. OA does work. I hope you are doing well now and feel better.

  • I am having WLS on May 17th 2010....... I know what you are going through...... this is not the easy way out....... I commend you....... you and I both are brave soldiers in this struggle for good health and weight loss.

  • OMG I know how you felt when you cried. So happy for you getting the surgery!

  • Lisa, I was here with ya sister.. I remember my surgery. Remember. Only YOU live YOUR life. Elle.

  • Don't worry, viewers. I have contacted my friend whose channel this is and she will delete and block the offending comments/commentators. Karma will take care of the rest.

  • @pakapoa Did you read what you wrote? I'm afraid I am not the truly pathetic one. Get help while you are young, before you grow up to be nasty, bitter, and alone.

  • @pakapoa hahaha am I?.... in any case you clearly need some emotional help... I don't think that being nasty on youtube to random people will solve any of your problems, in fact if you convince yourself that you are this nasty at heart, you will run into problems down the line with yourself. That is, of course, unless you are one of those people who will say horrible things on youtube and act like a docile deer in true life. Either way, you are visibly struggling and I hope you get help soon :)

  • @Venusfading thanks for trying to defend me, Venus! This is obviously some insensitive kid who's getting a kick out of their anonymous cruelty. Don't feed into it. Their comments will be deleted shortly and they will be blocked. No reason my viewers should have to be subjected to this. I'm sorry you had to see it.

  • @pakapoa You need to educate yourself on eating disorders and psychology my friend. You sound awfully bitter for a reason I don't know, maybe education or therapy would be beneficial to you and whatever problems you are facing :)

  • i want to cry i hope some day you get better dont worry i was fat to i know its not easy

  • god bless you honey. my name is jerry and I am thinking about the lap band because I am also dealing with weight issues. i am scared to death but you have really inspired me because you are actually going through with making your self loose the weight and that is brave. please stay strong because you are amazing. keep in touch

  • I will pray for you

  • God bless you woman....!!!!! I mean it...

  • Where is the 'after' video?

  • @poppa2006 Go to my YouTube user Belovedideas for the "after" videos. Thanks! Also check out my blog at TheSkinnyOnline at Blogspot for a daily update.

  • what kind of eating habits do u have now, do you work out now??

  • @therootbeerisgood It's a looooooong story. I did work out 6 days a week. Ate a non-fat diet and basically destroyed my metabolism. I lost 140 pounds and gained back half of it do to the metabolic damage I did after the surgery. My blog tells the whole story. TheSkinnyOnline. Thanks for asking!

  • I hear that you get many mood swings after this kind of surgery. Is that what is happening to you here? You're so brave to have done this. I too am having this kind of operation in less than a year. I'm so nervous. How are you doing today? I hope everything's better for you now^^, Watching these movies on youtube about people who have done it before me, makes me less nervous about it. Thanks for posting this :)

  • you poor poor woman, hope things have improved

  • i feel so sorry for her :( dont cry :(

  • I am morbidly obese and I have dealt with the prejudice. People saying stuff like: why don't you just eat less. Like I didn't try THAT before.

  • FAT PEOPLE!!!!! ROCK
