You can find them in the hunting mission "Mystery of the Desert's Sandstorm". Using the Rain Miracle you'll find the Snails, hunt them and they will drop the Kasu Seeds you need for Mahopons.

It's unfair play any way you look at it. Either the game was somehow connected to a keypad or something for him to randomly smash or it was just hacking his game so he would get all the notes perfect.

Wow, who said that he hacked this?? Whaaat?? This is by far the easiest minigame (except for the Soup one, maybe) .. and by far, I mean FAAAAR .. Tree and Mountain require you to have great musical sense, Plant and Alchemy Lab are based on the same idea, only they go at faster paces (plus in the Alchemy Lab you have to press two buttons). As for the Blacksmith, well .. that is probably the most difficult, but I seem to manage well at it

This minigame is really useful if you have useless materials and you want to exchange it for ka-ching or money. And this ka-ching can be used for the other minigames to get more materials to trade into this mingame over and over again.....or not.
