I have been looking for other live of "mountain" from the same period (1987, 1986). I found two which are ok but definitly not as good as this perfect live rendition of the studio version.
In fact my dream would be to find a perfect live rendition of blood of my ennemies. i've been searching but still can't find.
you can't compare eric voice with other singers' voices because it belongs to another category. eric can compete only with him self and he can beat him again and again.. HAIL AND KILL
hahaha...the pitch is much higher maybe a note higher....that's why eric's voice is so funny in this recording-stil awesome song played by 4 gyus who still have guts to play true to our hearts!!!
@wytrzeszcz It's not speed up. manowar plays all their songs half a note lower today because of erics voice (he's 56!). Good examples for that are Battle Hymn and some other from their older albums.
Fantastic upload; my God, listen to Eric on this. This is one of my all time favorite Manowar tracks. Sign of the Hammer is right up there with Number of the Beast and Puppets in my book. They used to have some amazing stuff. Even when they slowed down and chilled out they still kicked ass.
Yes I am well aware. And by "Puppets" I mean "Master of.." by Metallica. And if you read my comment correctly you'd know that I rank Sign of the Hammer up there with those two albums in terms of greatness.

Wow, what a beast of a voice. Amazing clean singing and ass-kicking screams. I wish there were an official live album or two from the 80s mid 90s.

the days when manowar played in standard...now they play in d standard..kind of a drag.. i like standard tuning for manowar
