The first two tricks are a result of fluid surface tension. The last is due to the elastic nature of the plastic and pressure against it. It's the same way the seals in the faucet work.
@7mileymandy7 surface tension. when the paper was laid on top when it was upside down the water had time to group around the wiring. so it would stay.
