One doesn't get the texture of this painting from a photo. When you see it in person, there are parts that are super thick with paint, almost like he was painting in 3D. It's really impressive.
Thank God performers like Rinaldo Alessandrini and Sergio Azzolini have come along- for now that the breath this incredible color, contrast, and space into Italian music, we can see why this music was so incredible. With every respect to Bach, Händel and Rameau... they have nothing on Italian music. Thank you for your many fine posts.
It's a very unusual piece, especially the first part - unlike the pretty Vivaldi of rhythmic allegroes. However, his recognizable style crops up unexpectedly like in Haydn's "Surprise" symphony. For my money, the best part is the finale, simply wonderful.
You have to remember that Baroque sheet music is not particularily specific, and demands the performer(s) to use their own originality and creativety in their performance.
I'm having a bad day and I thought that when I arrived at home (to much tired) the things will stop! I start to read absurd comments about music and I thought: It's better listening then uploading and I went to here. Marvellous Rinaldo. Thank you Harmonico.
I know what you mean exactly. I often have days like that. I've uploaded a ton of stuff the last two days because I've been sick at home. I'm glad you're liking the music, and I hope that tommorrow is a better day for you!

The first mov is not so slow... The flutist cannot hold the D-Eb at the end...

The first movement gives the impression of nodding off to sleep briefly and then suddenly waking up again. Very clever!

Está claro que Alessandrini, interpreta a Vivaldi muy bien.
Lo redescubre y lo hace de una manera diferente.Lo llamaría el Vivaldi del siglo XXI.

i haven't heard this version before
Is this the version being changed a little by later people or Vivaldi originally wrote this way?
