Um....this one went too far to retain any credibility at all. I've heard of and seen stupid moves, but some scientist unintelligent enough to bring dangerous anything home in open test tubes and stick it in the fridge? No.
Even though Rod Steiger was the co-star here {and soon to be famous as "Marty" on the celebrated "GOODYEAR TELEVISION PLAYHOUSE" production staged on NBC two weeks after this performance}, "bit player" James Dean, like Steiger, appeared at least once on virtually every New York-produced live anthology series in the early '50s.
What do they mean when they say federal taxes included? What federal tax is there or was there? Was there a special federal tax on jewelry back then? Was there a temporary war time tax (weren't these from the Korean war era)?
@devnorton It was 1952, Korean war was all on. Maybe there was some kind of war tax, after all this was only 7 years after the close of WW2, so the US had a lot of debt.
