In 1947 Santa Fe Railway put in an old Baldwin 4-8-4 Steamer as a Fireman then the Engineer tought me how to throttle jerk these, this is a great looking scaled version of the old Baldwin 2-10-2. I remember the 4-10-10-2 Baldwin had could handle 120 loaded coal cars through Cajon pass with no helpers. I enjoyed watching.
Does the valve gear move to redirect the flow of steam when the locomotive is placed in reverse? If so why is the radius rod of the valve gear in the up (reverse) position when the locomotive is moving forward? On full size locomotives the radius rod should be in the down (forward) position....
That detail is incredibly impressive! Nice sound for a scaled down model and it even puffs nicely. Man, I sure would want an exact replica of this one.
Great Models turn off the NAF music please!
