I guess you don't realize this game has MULTIPLE endings for characters... It depends if you kill your rival with a finishing move and if you kill your friend or not that affects the ending.

If I remember correctly it mentions that Glacius "Slays a fire being and escapes home" and T.J. Combo had a "Decisive victory over Riptor" and "Eyedol fell at the hands of B. Orchid."

All well and good, but that doesn't explain why Chief Thunder is out of the picture.

Let's Analyse.

Glacius is stated to have slain "A fire being" and we all know in KI1, Cinder qualified as a "Fire being" so thast Cinder down

Combo had a "decisive Victory" over RIptor and most likely killed him, if not Riptor was killed by Ultratech for his failure

And Orchid killed Eyedol. 'Nuff said.

Thunder? Who knows? Maybe his brother Spinal killed him?

Actually Thunder defeated the Spinal of KI 1. But it makes no mention of whether or not he found his brother. That would seem the most likely reason for him not being there.

AS for Thunder finding his brother, his KI1 ending hints Spinal is his brother.

Hmm didn't know that. But seeing as how the KI 2 Spinal is confirmed to be a younger version of Spinal, that wouldn't make much sense. Unless it was a retcon.

Because spinal was hundreds of years old in KI... then in KI 2 they went in the past so it's only noticable that you would face a younger Spinal... what part doesn't make sense?

I'm talking about Spinal being Thunder's brother Eagle in part one. Spinal existed for thousands of years and then he was resurrected in part one. I'm saying that it doesn't make sense for Spinal to be Eagle.

Do you guys really believe he was Eagle just because he came out of Eagle's grave? Think about it... in KI2 which was in the present time, Spinal was already bones... and in KI 2 he was bones.. so he was renewed with flesh in between?.. I took that Eagle ending as a "joke" really. That's the way I see it. Too many people just jumped to the "brother" conclusion....

It's very sad that rareware leave to make more games of KI, I would be a fan of this series if it jumps to Sony's platform, I never have the N64 and never can play in arcades unfortunately KI doesn't exist anymore

These are from the arcade version of Killer Instinct 2. Each character has multiple endings. They were removed when it got ported to N64 for KI Gold. Too bad. So I only play KI 2.

How are these different endings for each character determined?

Depends on who you kill (by an ultra combo, maybe an ultimate also but I never tried with that) and who you don't kill.
