Concerning the soldering, I wanted to add that tinning is also really important for extending the life of the iron's tip. Oxidation degrades the tip and gets increasingly troublesome to remove. Heat speeds oxidation, so this is mostly of concern when the iron is turned on, but leaving some on there at all times ensures a barrier to the air during idle times (when setting it down "just for a minute") as well as warm-up/cool-down. When ready to solder you might want to wipe the tip and re-tin.

"Fixed" it by placing the headphone jack only about half way in the computer. Better mono than uneven stereo ;)

Note: you will not be able to hear Darren in the ad (and right after the ad), if you do this. His audio there is right channel.

@cbader92 Darren's mic is operating on both channels it seems, where Shannon's just left. In the video when Darren talks, you can hear it stereo (in the video when attempting the sniff, before the ad.) Not an editing fail.
