The old S&D operated train services right through the worst winters in recent history bar a couple of days when blizzards blocked the line in cuttings - and THAT with steam locos! Even diesels are FAR better and reliable in bad weather than these pathetic, ugly electrics!

that sucks about high speed train is that when it looses power then it just sits there dead untill the diesel locomotive hook up to and tow to the station. in the future they should park diesel locomotive on both end of the tunnel so if they break down again then there ready.

all this moaning from english ppl makes me embarressed to be english. the slightest little thing goes wrong and we moan like hell, toughen up people, what if we had a real dissaster how would we all cope. i can imagine ameator hitting the uk an everyone stood around moaning cause they cant watch emmerdale. an they missed out on who is killing who in corra. come on. shit happens
