My arguement against federal government legalising "gay marrage" is that it is not their place, they will be usurping yet another state controlled piece of law. The reason gayness is not very accepted is only because of the morals of the bible. Most people want to keep the bible's standards and morals alive, so legalizing something that is against its morality will create anti's.
