Hey if zinc is bad for the environment and I am sure your steel wheel weights are coated (because they would rust if not), doesn't you coating have like 40% or more of zinc in it??
About 5 months ago, I had my wife's 4runner's tires rotated and balanced at wal-mart and they used your steel wheel weights, and the installer says they hate them because they are nothing like lead. Also, they began to rust within 2 months. Whats up with that?? I guess I will try the composites or zinc next time.
