  • Princess Diana is NOT on this island as people may think? She is interred at althorp church at dead of night in 97 and interred into the Spenser crypt I know as true from a local whom saw the army escorting the lead casket from althorp itself too the church and crypt entrance was resealed by 1st light

  • How did they get her casket on the island? By boat? If so do her kids ever go over there to see her grave?

  • @dnr4499 yes william recenty took Kate to see her they got her over by boat, there was a picture in a magazine with the guy in the boat that took Diana over and he was taking flowers over there on her death aniversary.

  • Hey Louise, lovely place, great video...can't wait to go there myself!!!

    Thanks for sharing!

  • I did not know she wished to be buried with her father as indicated by (xbritishgirlx). It would have been nice if her wish could have ben granted. Rest in peace Diana. I am sure you are looking lovingly down on your son and his bride.

  • Beautiful. Especially when I muted. I can't help but feel sad for Diana. Now she is forever isolated and imprisoned, just like her life with Charles. Her wishes should have been granted to be buried with her father.

  • @RhiannanAR1 thankyou :)

  • @RhiannanAR1 .....She should be moved to a more respectful place: St George's Chapel maybe??? I mean really. To bury this lady in a duck pond? Who's decision was this? Maybe Prince William will in time.

  • No offense, but I figured they would take better care of the island that she's buried on.

  • Here lies one of the most powerful women in the world! Diana rest in peace we miss you

  • a silent and peaceful place for that poor girl. sweet dreams......

  • you know, I think God takes people like Diana away from us so that her life and her work and example are brought closer to the public's attention, so that by her way we are given a mold by which we should live our lives. If someone less important had died, we would have nothing to learn from or aspire to. RIP Beautiful Diana!

  • GREAT video - glad to have a chance to see the grounds and home of early Diana. Still so sad after all these years to know she's laid to rest - what a loss to the world.

It should have been Charles and Camilla instead.

  • @MrTrueBrit1 yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss x and thankyou

  • when i first saw a picture of where she was to be buried I called her Lady of the Lake

  • @garycalgary lovely that is :)) you should go if you havent been. Christmas time is lovely because they have the huge tree up :) they sometimes have christmas events.

  • @fan40 Exactly!

  • Thanks for putting your visit here, I always missed seeing it when I lived in the UK 3 yrs. Its a brilliant video.

  • @chocolatcats awwwwwwwwwww i just love these stately homes!

  • Does anyone live there or is it a musum now?

  • @babycakes1402 Hi yes Diana brother lives there its his estate. When the public have finished visiting the staff were saying the house just goes straight back to being a family estate again. Sometimes people have seen Dianas brothers children there hanging about. When i was there Dianas brother was in the book shop were you buying things like plates books perfums etc. It was a lovely day there. The website sells all th tickets.

  • @xbritishgirlx the public can visit there two months a year (july and aug) what a magnificent place to see. I'm happy it was put on here.

  • @babycakes1402 her brother Earl Spencer and his four children live there; its a family home of MANY YEARS ....he'll live there until he's buried next to Diana and then his kids will live there etc..he made SURE NO IDIOT PHOTOGS can get near her again! they don't deserve to be near her.

  • I was fortunate to go to Althrop while her clothes were on exhibition if that's right I suppose if the most dreadful thing hadn't happened her beautiful dresses wouldnt have been there. But I called into the cafe, the waitress explained that her brother Charles was serving in the gift shop.I rushed and met him, such a humble gentleman,he thanked me for going....He thanked me...for going; I could barely respond for the tears in my eyes and the lump in my throat.A precious memory I'll keep forever

  • thankyou for sharing

  • You were very lucky to visit althorp, i would love to go but did you know that one of diana's wishes was that she be buried in the family crypt with her father. Its sad that she never got that when she died...i feel sad about that for her

  • going again this year be my 4th time lol

  • @jurunado excuse me! had she been buried with her father, the photographers WOULD NEVER AGAIN LEFT HER ALONE. Her crypt would have been chipped away LITERARLY like Jim Morrisons in France. People would have wanted a bit of her stone for keep sake. Now she is buried FOREVER IN PEACE.

  • @chocolatcats I think its the best place for her. I think she would have been pleased that shes back at her childhood home.

  • @Kevvo4444 if I stood near him, I'd be sobbing..not because he's cute; he is; but because I couldn't bear the pain he's lived through with his sister's death.

  • thankyou very much we go every year!

  • @xbritishgirlx i AGREE...Princess Diana deserves to be in peace.

  • Thank you for all of the beautiful videos that you post. I miss Diana tremendously and am glad that you have such gentle reminders of her spirit on display. Cheers!

  • aw thankyou and ur welcome. i love making videos for her

  • I actually went on the 30th of August and keft a beautiful boquet of lillies roses lots of white flowers for Diana at the Temple - I think you may have filmed them! I met a lovely lady at Gt Brington Church, she told me Diana used to wash all the cuos and saucers up after service there in marigolds, and had the softest hands, and bluest eyes, just a beautiful, lovely lady. She is buried on the Island, in a tomb, that has been made for her, and her coffin lies within it, safe.

  • hi yes thats right buried on the island its lovely there isnt it! i find it so refreshing when i go. I do rememebr talking to a lady that works in the estate when the spencer family are thereaswell as when its open o the public. She told us that the spencer children will even wash up their own dishes! she said they are so polite and never expect people to everything for them

  • I don't like people making money out of her, especially so called psychics, that claim they channel her, when actually do not. There are so many films and books to study, and I think its very wrong. I go and pray for peace and love for Diana and all who have passed on, she was a lovely woman, and should be honoured that way. God bless her x

  • yes thats true you get alot of people telling lies about her now shes dead and cant defend herself ! thankyou

  • Wonderful. I must make a Visit to Althorp before I pass over. Diana was the most precious person this country had and we lost her. RIP Diana

  • thankyou yes its just great there

  • you will fall in love

  • Beautiful video...well done!

  • thankyou very much x

  • These are beautiful photos! Great job!! I wish we would of found the time to stop by the estate when we were in England in April and September. We really weren't very far away from Althorpe. It's something that I've wanted to do for a very long time. Sigh... next time for sure. :)

  • Truly beautiful and very well done.

  • thankyou very much for ur comments hun they are well appreciated

  • i had no idea you could walk around in the estate and the house. Who lives there? I assume Diana's brother Charles Spencer doesn't.

Next best thing to going there....

    thanks for posting

  • heya hun yes you can walk round the wholw estate ans right upto dianas grave site. you can go all around the outside of the estate and into all the blocks and everything like that its gorgeous! yes dianas brother does live their he lives there with his daughter whos 19 the oldest one because shes now in university here in the uk.

  • as soon as the public leave it goes back into a family home again!! couldnt believe it when the workers told us that lol but yeah he lives there its only open from july to august and on selective dates for events for the public. they have fireworks there and at xmas time its open a little bit. you can go into the dinning room and have coffee and cheese x

  • iv goy another video up here too 2008 visit been a few times its lovely visit the website theres info on there. iv got a link to it on my page

  • wow! that place is soo beautiful!! it only makes me want to come to England more!! And ive wanted to come practically my whole life!! it's def going on my list of places i have to visit!!! Also not really relevant but my birthday happens to be in August the 6th to be exact! lol. just thought id share. Anyways great video!!!

  • Me so glab you lyk me vibeo ob Dyana prince ob whales

    XXXXXXXXXXXX

  • my dad is from london we live in a small wealthy town now and he hates it lol too slow for him lol when we go shopping and things hes saying god il bring the bed next time!

  • Touring the Estate, do they let you wonder off on your own or your with a tour guide? When you heard Sarah's dogs barking, you should of made a run for her cottage and have a chat with her.lol I think Jane has got Diana's voice. When I watched the funeral for Diana. I was like OMG, Jane sounded just like her when Jane did her reading.

  • yes she does sound very much like diana lol yea you just walk round by yourself hun they just let you tour by urself

  • 4 huh..One for every Spencer Child, more or less. Sarah, Charles, Jane then of course Diana...Hmmm. Diana must of known of 4 were there of course. That's problably why she was so upset at the time. Thinking well, everyone got one, why not me. But, maybe Jane doesn't want one there and Charles..oh no, wait he's got the Estate...lol the cottages might be part of the Spencer Estate inheritence. who knows. But, I'm glad her brother had her in his home in South Africa before she died.

  • Did you get to see Diana's bedroom there. I know there is a room called Princess of Wales, alot of people thought it was named after her but Earl Spencer said it was named after another Princess of Wales. I remember reading that somewhere. I think it was his book.

  • yes we did we went all upstairs into the bedrooms and all into the rooms downstairs its just huge. theres people there that will talk to you about the house and family. if you ever go and you walk round the lake ul see that theres a small cottage hiden way back into the trees when we looked we saw dogs in a huge pen at front of the cottage and then we heard talking and sounded like dianas sister sarah. we think she has her own cottage on the estate too but she does have her own family house

  • I wonder if that's the cottage Diana wanted for her and the boys. I remember there was a riff about a cottage Diana wanted and Earl (her brother) was going to give it to her then he said no cause it would bring too much attention on the property. Diana was very upset about that and they didn't talk for a while. Then Earl took the Spencer Tiara from her. Boy, those two had some bad arguements. I hope they made a mends before her death.

  • yea they did make up and diana understood him in the end. theres other cottages arounds the estate tho too theres like 4 as you walk in on the right x

  • Gosh you were allowed upstairs and into all of the bedrooms ?

I thought a visit to Althorp only included admission to the Diana exhibition.

I'm definitely going next year then :)

  • yes all the bedrooms and dinning rooms hall ways etc you pay extra £2.50 to view upstairs rooms. down stairs rooms you view anyway x

  • i liked walking along the landing upstairs looking at the huge victorian pictures of the spencer family lol

  • noooooooooo hun you pay for the whole lot lol exhibition rooms house lake you wlak along outside the house too at christmas time think its november they do a thing where public can have tea and cake at the dinning room table lol

  • what made us look was the voices and dogs were all getting excited. she does have like 5 dogs sarah and she does used the estate to walk them so it was like yea that her little cottage for when she visits lol theres like a main mini road that leads upto the east gate and it bends off towards that cottage we kept hearing cars pull up and that was interesting to watch. they got a little cafe there and that and a gift shop dianas brother hangs about in there signing his books

  • Since you been there twice it begs the question...There are two stories..Was Diana cremated or is she buried. I was told the vase thing on top of the grave marker is her urn with ashes, then I heard she was in a lead lined casket. I thought you would be the one to ask. Not that I'm morbid or anything just want the correct facts.

  • no hun she is buried there right under neath the white grave thats standing tall. theres a guy there that helped bury her and carry her accross x

  • Awesome pics!!! I remember you mention putting these up...I got to ask what is in the pic at time 1:47 in the video? I can't make it out...I get goose bumps viewing this...Diana presence I can feel and I wasn't there. But seeing these I can.

  • heya lol that pic was a picture of 4 baby ducks with mummy duck under that tree lol it was so sweet! so i took a pic of them. i know what you mean as soon as you stand near that island you just feel her. But to be honest yiu get goose bumps just as your walking upto the house its strange! even my dad gets it too

  • il send you my first video i did because i went last year as well. theres much more to see inside the house and the stable blocks but you cant take pix in there. her wedding dress is on display in there and her scholl uniform and letters etc she wrote

  • That would be great. I would love to see it. In the house, did you see the Diana painting? The one with her in a frilly shirt and green skirt? She had it hanging in her K.P. apt for about 4 years. Right on her stairwell. The painting should of been located around the main stairwell at Althorp.

  • yes its located right at the top of the stairs straight ahead of you as you walk up :)

  • hi iv put the picture up on my background hun the one ur talking about at althorp x

  • it's very lovely domaine!have you visited a exposition of diana ? have you look a maried dress of diana?if youhave other pictures post in youtube please because I ove very much princesse diana and I lots of books and articles of her but I never visited althorp and I never visited england!(I 'm french sorry if my english is bad)great video and great job xxxx

  • hi yes her wedding dress is there on display with the brides maid dresses too but they dont allow you to take pix in there due to security. the whole show was there tho yes all her clothes were on display and it shows you where she wore each dress. as you walk through there they have video footage up of her too

  • oh wow
