How much would it add to the trip to use #11 between Regina and Saskatoon on a four lane road, rather then use a shitty 2 lane like the #16 between Saskatoon and Winnipeg?
Ever heard of chains? they work lol i never ever used em not even in the rockies when it says chains mandatory but hey......Alsoi got an Ali Arc bumper so i usually go up to around 45-50 when the weather is like that
The worst snow trip i ever have been to is my trip from Los Angeles ,Ca to , Alaska in December of 2003 14 days round trip that was a challenge for me for the first time up there
trucker two times is doing a very good job 30 miles an hour is a safe speed in them conditions warm wet snow is very slpperry anyone who drives 70 miles an hour in those conditions should loose his licence
first the guy behind you was maintaing radio silence so he could here if there was something important going on up ahead..truckin with the squelch down+ radio silence =safety net..if your not comfotable opeating in these conditions don't go..stay put..you are a hazzard..northern Ontario and the prarries experince these conditions 5 out of 7 days to some extent from oct-april..going to slow is just as dangerous as going to fast in these conditions..p.s. this wasn't even bad yet....
I'm from the Prairies and in the winter this is normal, but you get used to it. Ya not a lot of places to pull over, no matter where you go in Canada. Most of us have CB's but use VHF radios instead because of the longer range.
hiya truckertwotimes, like the videos just wandering about what garmen you use in your truck and how does it work out for ya thanks catch ya out there sometime
Hey there truckertwotimes..love your vids! You should check out winterdriving in Norway..0 degrees Celsius, 4-5 meters wide roads, sometimes narrower, with 10 degree climbs and switchbacks in this kind of snowstorms, interesting at the least:P anyway, keep on trucking:)
I live and drive semi in Saskatchewan and know all about driving in this. Been on this stretch of hiway too many times to count. how long did you have to sit before they had the plows and sand trucks out???
I spent the night there met another driver from east of there, had coffee and a sandwich, next day we went over to Jerrys that lives about 5 minutes away from Hafford had more coffee then went on to Battleford for breakfast, roads were pretty good the next day
Bbrrrrrrrrrrr.......I got high beams just from watching this video! LOL! Ya know, I think I'll be watching this again, when my apartment hits 90 freakin' degrees this summer. Yeah, I've driving in whiteout conditions too, and my knuckles were just as white! aaargh!
I wouldn't wish a trip like that on anybody. I wouldn't have been surprised if you had said there was ice on the road. Did you see any salt trucks go by while you were spending the night there at the gas station?
April showers bring........ actually the April showers never showed up this year! We had a late spring up here! And that snow is hard on the eyes! Great vid, TTT!
I hear ya there Truck Driver, some like this kind of driving, it isn't anything to them, not me, I hope you can get some good slick roads before spring gets here, looks like another month of winter left
Hey Jeff through all three parts I hear you talking on your CB warning the other guys, Do any of them ever answer you. And man I could hear the frustration in your voice. That's some wgit knuckle drivin there buddy...You should get some hazardous duty pay for that weather...lol..I could hear the words in your head...I miss Montaner...I miss Montaner....miss Montaner..Hope you kept a few bottles of that Montaner Air for this ride..
Hey FJ, not many use the c.b. these days, most keep it turned off, I usually do as well, too much disrespect among other c.b. ers, and I didn't have any Montanner Air at the time, but if I did I could sure have used it as I was smuthered plum out
Looks like some rough weather there TTT I have been watching all of your previous videos. I was wondering how your Saskatchewan trip was coming. I am thinking about gettin back behind the wheel myself. Hard to find a company that will let you drive without much experience. Hope the rest of the trip gets better for you. Can't wait for the next posting. Be safe.
Yeah buddy! You definately earned your pay on this day!!! Whew!!! Like you've mentioned,...This is truely Trucker Steve Stunting Weather! LOL!!! Thanks for Sharing this with us Jeff,.....That's one part of trucking I don't miss,.....
