@cmv140 I got some songs in the style of Keith Merrow (ofcourse not the same, I have my own style) and I can tell you that it's just a matter of trying to create riffs for REAL long, until you finally come up with something good enough to work on it. I myself couldn't make such riffs on the spot, but when I got a good idea (like a riff) and work on it; it can become something just as good as Keith Merrow or something. Fuck, I'm having a hard time explaining this xD

Just give it some time and make something original, everyone can make great songs if they REALLY put time in it and try :)
