@ilikebumfluff This manga was produced at a time when drift techniques were popular in Japan, and even their race drivers used them in actual races, which seems ridiculous in hindsight. I guess drifting looks more exciting, though. Not everyone drifts, at least. The Emperor team are all driving AWDs, and Night Kids (Civic and GT-R) obviously don't drift either, and the Impreza features as well. In reality, drifting the way they do, as often as they do, would wear through a mountain of tyres.
