I have this problem with my 66TDI DSG polo, took it to the dealer today and luckily it happened on the diagnose drive with the VW techie. He was shocked and "apparantly" hasn't heard of the problem. Currently awaiting a phone call from VW on the problem. Also, i had only done a total of 710km on it
This is the Golf 1.4 from somewhere across the ocean. As you can notice, the spedo is in km/h. If you looked it up, VW offers a Golf 1.4L tsi in the UK. Just check out vw.co.uk for more info. :)
DSG problem like the one you are experiencing is quite frequent. It has to do with the "mechatronics" which actually is not directly related to the gearbox. Mechatronics is the mechanical and electronic system that controls the gearbox via sensors and decides when to shift. When mechatronics faults, sensors are not able anymore to sense the gearbox oil temperature and the other parameters which they take in account to decide when to shift. Go to VW and pretend to have your mechatronic changed.
....this is what happens when you turn cars in to computers.

get a japanese car. imagine this happens when your car is 3 or 4 years old...
who will pay the bill? you will.
get a older car you wont have problems you cant fix yourself.

but this is most probably a problem of the mechatronics- unit. and you have to replace it.
and who says that you wont have this problem again?
imo its just expensive scrap.

Video say 1.4 Tsi, but ist a GTI, or you tuned the car, maybe you tuned the engine to thast why you screew the gearbox...
