a fucking rock classic that too few people have ever fucking heard, it could never get any fucking airtime because there are too many fucking F-bombs in the lyrics.. one of their finest songs from one of their best albums
Also, the flaming lips always had some odd theatrics onstage... it wasn't just post- soft bulletin.... fireworks being set off on stage? the motorcycle experiment? Mike's hair catching fire (albeit by accident, but as a result of their antics)
completely agree and it's sad that some people disagree with your sentiment.
the flaming lips have always progressed musically (and still are in my opinion) but the live shows really lack the luster that the pre-soft bulletin era shows had.
in my opinion, the turning point was Ronald leaving the band and the Zaireeka album/tour. the idea was good but playing it live was not.
they are still great but i would love to hear them play this one (and others) now.
thankyou so much this is amazing... i loved the performance of rainin babies from this show (which is on the fearless freaks dvd), so was amazed to find this! want more!
I love this band.

Its really pretty sad what they've become onstage...The theatrics are so unnecessary when you can write and play real music like they can.

I agree as well, they used to be one of the best live bands around. It's gotten to be kind of a joke.

Great! I just added this to my 77 piece Flips playlist which features all the vintage performances I could find.
