I love the series but one question especially to all the U.S. Americans here: Why always that super artificial laughter from an imaginery audience in humerous sitcoms? It gets easier to ignore it after a while but does it really HAVE to be there for anyone? I mean, are you annoyed by it, do you not care a damn about it or do you actually want it in there for some reason? If so why? Sorry to generalize YOU, but it's just cause these laughters are in every U.S. comedy show.

To be honest, I simply don't watch that many sitcoms, but that noise has ALWAYS bothered me.

I always assumed that it was sort of a "cue laughter" indication for all those that just didn't get their joke.

The laughter isn't fake. The show is being taped in front of a live studio audience so people laughing comes in. It is that way for most sitcoms, that is why you never see the other side of the rooms or hallways.

At any rate, we (the audience) don't have control over live audience laughter or laugh tracks in shows, so your guess as to why they're there is as good as mine.

No, it makes sense because Wil was an actual member of Star Trek...therefore he would know a few catch phrases in Klingon (Com. Worf and his son Alexander-which was close to the age of Wil's character-were both Klingon's on the ship) But 4 someone like Sheldon to know this...that would be a lil strange (Even for someone like me to know all this is a lil strange)...LOL!

Actually, Wil Wheaton would probably have been exposed to more people speaking Klingon at Star Trek conventions rather than on the set of ST:TNG. It is rather strange that a guy like the character you referred to does know Klingon but there are numerous books and tapes available to teach anybody Klingon and people who speak Klingon can sometimes get jobs in places like mental institutions because, for some reason, some mental patients only speak Klingon.

And actually, the Klingon that you would learn would be the newer of the two Klingon languages because it changed between Star Trek 3: The Search for Spock and Star Trek 5: The Final Frontier.
