It was stated that SSJ3 Goku was stronger than Fat Buu but not by much. Super Buu is the result of the Evil Buu and Good Buu becoming one. So imagine them combinding their powers together. SSJ3 Goku woudn't stand a chance. Now Mystic Gohan destroyed Super Buu. it was stated by Toriyma the Mystic Gohan is the strongest unfused character in the whole series.

@ImmaGTBaby absorbed reduced his power greatly, not made him stronger. And since South Kai was able to match the original Buu and so could the Fat Kai, they had to each be as strong as Buu. Therefore they both weakened Kid Buu greatly when they were absorbed and when Vegeta cut Fat Buu out of Super Buu's head he reversed the power-dampening qualities of the Kais and released his full power.

I'll level and say he was <= Buuhan, but definitely not much weaker if anything.
