  • I can do 10. It is exactly the same than my normal pull ups. So, I just remain at normal pull ups.

  • I'd recomend using commando pro for higher heights but overall good job

  • focus on form and control first the numbers will come later, theres on sence doing a bunch of crappy pull ups, i usually do a couple sets of 10 very slow and controled pull ups, im not worried about numbers. love pull ups

    p.s commando pull ups should be alternated from one side to the other

  • Good job man. Lookin fit out there. Ive fell off. Was doing 20 last year but havent trained for nearly 4 months and can barely get 15 now lol. Gotta watch more of these to motivate myself.

  • i think its because they workout there dominant shoulder more...due to the aftershock most guns give to the shoulder after being shot...this form of pullups trains that shoulder better so its not affected as much by it-

  • what do commando pullups work? i do chin-ups (shoulder width apart hands facing towards you), pull-ups (shoulder width apart hands facing away from you), and wide grip pull ups, and I'm thinking that works a lot of the upper body/back. And, I'm only around 100 lbs so im able to do an efficient amount

  • i have a gut and weigh 230 lbs and got at least 30 of these. Ive never done a back workout without doing pullups or weighted pullups.

  • well it depends on what you are trying to accomplish. if you want strength for a sport, muscle mass doesn't do shit for you. if you want to be in body building then you want muscle mass.

  • Uh, i might be able to get around 10-12, seeing as i don't weigh that much and have an adequate upper body strength. I couldn't do them that slowly though, i tend to do exercises like this in fast bursts

  • I don't know how much you weigh, but I put you at about 160-165. I don't weigh that much either, but my upper-body strength ....needs work. You have a frame and height similar to my fathers.

    fully extending your arms is resting your muscles except for your forearms

    just like benching or press ups etc. you should always keep your arms elbated cos fully locking it out is just resting your arms. cos i can do about 3-4 reps on 100kg not fully locking it out, but if i did i could probably push out another one or two

  • not bad. I've never really tried these. I stick to wide/front arm pullups. Work my lats. On a normal workout I do 3 sets of ten. But I can easily knock out 25. I gotta start testing myself in this stuff. my only flaw in my training is I dont run. I do all my cardio in the pool. I can swim 70 laps easy, but can barely run half a mile. But I guess it works out to my advantage cuz I'm at exactly 200 pounds, which is where i like to stay. Nothing more, nothing less. Good job here. Keep it up

  • dude im 6"2 i weigh, 230 pounds, im Mixed martial artist here in england, iv done about 30 commando pullups on a good day. but with my workout routine, its all kind of strength training so im used to it.

  • your not out of shape the only way u can improve is to gain more bulk, and the more bulk u gain less toned, usually, i can do 17 of those, my faves are just standard wide overhand grip, works the back,n lats the most

  • I love how this team gets a group of super athletes. I like how you jump over those 12 people. It's pretty amazing. I've seen many amazing things such as free runners too. They are very good at climbing but they can't jump over 12 ppl like you. You should start getting into freerunning. You have the skills to do it.

  • I'm 200 + lbs I can't just go and grab any tree limb and start doing pull-ups

  • So choose a branch carefully! or a couple of branches close together to spread the weight. I find trees that have grown in a park or with space around them are best because the put out lateral branches early - easy to get to and have had time to thicken.

    Doing climb-ups on a wall uses similar muscles.

    Rope climbing (2" manila rope is perfect) is one of the most effective arm workouts I think you can do.
