  • There should be no closed season or limits on 'Suits'.

  • I'm debating whether I should show this to my grade 9 Social Studies since we are learning about the Fur Trade in Canada. There are so many specific references to the textbook material that it is relevant, however, it's a little too dark. I might take the risk and show it.

  • @assmane999 do it

  • @secretcountry: :) I showed it before I heard back from my sponsor teacher on whether I should or not, and she walked in at the end of the lesson just as I was showing it. She said afterwards that I shouldn't show 'Kids in the Hall' just because of how controversial the show was when it was on. However, this sketch was only a little violent and that is all that could be considered innapropriate about it.

  • @assmane999 our social studies teacher showed it to our eighth grade class and there was no issue!

  • What's wrong with the Beaver?

  • @guytitanic Canadians kinda almost hunted it to extinction for the Fur Trade, back in the day. Given it still exists, we corrected our mistake, eh?

  • @DoomCabbit I was thinking of Leave it to Beaver.

  • I do believe Kevin just powned Mark ;)

  • you can get the box set with all seasons for like 40 bucks on ebay if you look hard enough =] thats where I got mine, at stores its like 140 bucks

  • 12 people won't be Vice President some day...

  • I love Dave's voice in this!

  • This is hilarious...love it.

  • Mark is ALWAYS the buisness guy<3<3 ILY KITH!!!

  • Yesterday's kill.

  • 12 people got their legs caught in a bear trap.

  • When I first saw this on TV I HURT myself bad laughing so hard...For the next year in the ARMY Nat'l Guard we talked with French accents and referred to our cargo of artillery nuclear warheads as "the wild and elusive bee-vair"...

  • I LOVE fur trappers!

  • I started cracking up really hard at 'Et la tete!' *SMACK XD

  • Perfect for the Bankers n Brokers!

  • Perry: No Remorse for Executing Innocent Man, Says it will deter other innocent people. Romney: I'll Reduce Corporate Tax Rate to 25%, Down from its current 0%. On 9/12/2011 11:50 PM, U.S. Has Lost $60 Billion to Waste, Fraud in Iraq, Afghanistan, School Lunch Program will be defunded to make up those losses...BACHMANN DOWNGRADED TO TROPICAL STORM

  • best part is at 0:45 , I will never forget this bit.

  • Hahaha Alouette je te plumerai! XD Malade ! Luv it these guys are my ancestors I'm fucking proud! LOL

  • KITH at its most absurd and best.

  • This is now my favorite skit of all time.

  • i remember this one--this is totally fucked...ROTFLMFAOOL

  • Funny stuff!

  • what this song ?

  • @Eiffelos Allou-wettah by jean frances philiip

  • @Eiffelos actually, it's spelled, "Alouette." Just so the other guy doesn't confuse you. :)

  • I'm fully aware this will probably get me killed but...

I'm totally gonna roll a canoe down the interstate dressed as a french fur trapper now.

    Yep, I'm that impressionable.

  • This is like an older version of the Whitest Kids U Know.

  • Whitest Kids U Know's writing and ideas aren't even 1/4 as creative as Kids In The Hall

  • @Kuntawista I agree. KITH is just so original. Don't get me wrong, WKUK has its moments too, but KITH overall is always funnier and more creative, like you said.

  • I am french Canadian and it was funny !!!

  • haha such an awesome skit. theres so many meaning buried under the surface though and i agree its quite ironic that people are hunting people lol. haha wouldve been funny if a giant beaver were buying the suits or something lol

  • Of all the Canadian talent that have made it big over the years, I've always been most proud of Kids In The Hall.

  • @Whydoesthissitesuck you mean they were a threat? i dont think they have french fur trders anymore...grow a pair and start laughing

  • @MYBATTLEBRIDE

He was making a joke himself.

  • @Whydoesthissitesuck Lmao I can only hope you were kidding about you being canadian.

talk crap real fast 3x and i'll appear in your dreams and beat you for being an idiot

  • @Whydoesthissitesuck Proof that anyone can be offended by anything....

  • @Whydoesthissitesuck #1 this is comedy. #2 These trappers collecting suits from humans is a metaphor: We are all living things and we only hunt ourselves for profit.

  • I don't know what's funnier, the skit. or that woman's laugh at the first clubbing.

  • I really thought he would say "Let him go! He has earned his freedom!"

  • bit never gets old.....

  • Love it. Definitely one of their best.

I also like the irony of people being in traps instead of helpless animals. I love that!

  • Love it. Definitely one of their best.

  • 10 people won't make vice-president.

  • This is very gross, but also very funny!

  • Tres bien! C'est un documentarie tres excellent! Oui, I too know les dangers of doing too much at once, mon attempts to infiltrate les teams superhero anglos *spit* est super exhausting. It is good, though, that le culture du French-Canadian is portrayed in such an accurate and respectful fashion. It warms the cockles of my evil heart, and when le plan diabolic du Monsieur SUCKER is complete, I will make sure to spare le Kids in the Hall.

    - Le Gros Chapeau

  • Is this a Canadian joke? I don't get it.

  • @xxxserialxxx no.. it's just funny. i'm american and i got the joke.

  • I'm french and I love this sketch!

  • to all my fellows english Canadian: Aaaaaaaaalouet_te ........gentil Alouette......Aaaaaaaalouet_te je t'éplumerai........!

    cheers! ;o)

  • David Foley and Kevin McDonald make a great duo

  • This is a hilarious sketch. And no doubt after they trap these people, they'll eat them with 'sirope d'erable'.

  • Brilliant.

  • Kevin's hat is so cute.

  • I really don't know what you people find so funny. Those poor people gave their lives for what? So someone else could make a profit & wear their coats? So what's next? Those same people who buy the coats will go thru the same thing?! It's crazy I tell you. When will it stop!!! PETA? PAKITO (People Against Killing InThe Office) can!

  • Funny as hell. The fur trade comes up many times in my studies and it's refreshing to have a laugh at it. To those who know the real fur trade don't be too proud of this period of time. Especially canadians. Their greed and negligence ruined a pristine land and contributed to the current unrest between Natives and whites.

  • @68habs4ever thers nothing wrong with trapping, i know people that trap

  • Well where did you think those fancy suits came from?

  • Not french fur trappers... but Quebecois fur trappers

  • i saw this 15 years ago and its still funny as hell!!

  • Only true Canadians understand this..

  • Brilliant.

  • i luv kevins stern look when he batted that one dude. he looked so determined.

  • Hahah. Kith are among the funniest group. The best.

Et pour les quebecois qui on pas compris et trouve ca raciste. Vous etes vraiment tata.

  • Now I understand they were from the other side of the country from the French-speaking regions, but surely they should have known that the song goes "Alouette, gentille alouette, alouette, JE TE PLUMERAI", not "Alouette, gentille alouette, GENTILLE PLUMERAI"...

    Funny, funny skit anyway.

  • "...fresh"

  • @TheFiregirl66 Not true at all! I meet none of your requirements (not Canadian, 40ish, and did not receive the kind of education you speak of, though at least I can distinguish the difference between "your" and "you're") and this is one of my favorite KITH sketches. Don't make baseless assumptions about Americans not having any taste in comedy, fool!

  • Couldn't stop singing this song after watching the skit. That was sooo long ago!

  • All these comments are WAY uncalled for. Twisted funny comedy as expected from KITH...... Put some French-Canadian fur trappers in a modern downtown setting 200 years later and this is what they came up with. BRILLIANT comedy. How can anyone find any disrespect in this one?

  • K.....if your not Canadian, not 40ish, never heard of the Hudsons Bay Co, or Canadian social history (not the American social history, which they shoved down our throats in our Canadian schools) , you will not appreciate this video, and rot in the american humour that you have been brainwashed with.

  • @TheFiregirl66 You make Canadians look bad with that comment.

  • @TheFiregirl66 Snobby cunt! I am 30 & found it humorous when I saw this on TV years ago before I even traveled the world.

  • @TheFiregirl66 I'm sure without that knowledge it wouldn't be funny, other then the fact that two people are canoeing through a building catching people with bear traps.

  • @TheFiregirl66 Nah, people have said that already...but, errr, I'm American and we talked about the coureur de bois...they existed in Northern New York too ;P

  • @TheFiregirl66

you are amzingly stupid, are you from Alberta ?

  • K.....if your not Canadian, not 40ish, never heard of the Hudsons Bay Co, or Canadian social history (not the American social history, which they shoved down our throats in our Canadian schools) , you will not appreciate this video, and rot in the american humour that you have been brainwashed with.

  • @TheFiregirl66 I'm in my late 20s, and I learned next to no American history in high school. In fact, we spent an entire goddamn year on the fur trade as I recall.

  • @TheFiregirl66

Are you for real? I'm American and yes, I 'get it'.

  • @thebronzebat I knew it's about French Canadian. I just don't find this video funny that'sall, I can tell what I want....if I don't like this video iit's my right, I just wrote 1 comment in order to tell that it's not funny.

  • @thebronzebat I'm probably the 9th French that I dislike this video !

sorry but maybe we don't have the same sense of humor in France....

  • @minhounou French Canadians are who they're making fun of. You do realize these guys are Canadian.

  • @minhounou this video IS NOT ABOUT french people

  • Every time I watch Scott Thompson haul on the rope with all his might, I fucking lose it.

  • Fresh.

  • ahaha my college world history teacher showed us this video in class.

  • @ThePurpleNinja4209 I don't understand why you teacher showed you this shit....?

    (o-0)

  • @burtoncaly Because its fucking funny, and he is awesome. Dick.

  • ha ha they could do this at my work place but they wouldn't kill me because I don't dress like this but most of the other people would die lol My boss keeps trying to get me to dress "nice" but this may be the one reason not to.

  • All I can say It is a true Classic.

  • Easily one of the bes sketches ever on the show. Fucking genius.

  • If only we could go through corporate offices doing this...lol

  • @TallTrav Oh we do up here in Québec! bonne soirée ;o)

  • @TheTourlous The come out west to BC. We have many Armani and Sung waiting for you...lol

  • @TallTrav hey we have more of these classic songs ya know, like Frère Jacques and Cadet Roussel! (in reality they are ''french'' not quebecois) I mean french from France

  • hahaha i grew up in a french town with people that talked like that. this is pure genius lol

  • This one is the best one off them all sec is the ham of truth

  • I'm new to canada, can someone explain what the joke is?

  • @euginam91 They're making fun of French Canadians. The first French to established themselves in Canada were Fur trappers. Basically, they almost emptied the continent of its beavers and didn't do much more at that time...

Also, Quebec (because I can't really extend that to every other French communities) took a long time to enter modernity during the XXth century, so I think they could be making fun of that too :)

  • pure genius! its funny I see kevin in winnipeg all the time on corydon

  • ahhhh the voyageur

  • Possibly the most Canadian skit ever. It's fugging hilarious, to boot.

  • this is amazing lmao

  • Live forever, Jacques and Francois!

  • best canadian skit.

  • God, my brother and his friends went as these guys for Halloween one year, pulling a canoe on wheels all downtown! This is classic!

  • @genevincent89 That's pretty inventive and hilarious. Would have loved to see them pull up my driveway for trick or treat! Very cool! :)

  • Actually if they had just taken the suits off the people they wouldn't have had to kill their prey

  • @Flinklehurst Then where would the comedy be?

  • @caffeinerocks Yeah you're right they probably sold the corpses to somebody else.

  • Meropenguine.

  • One of my all time favorite sketches without a doubt

  • Nice

  • i thought they said 'the beiber' lol

  • Brilliantly obscure absurdist comedy.

  • The Vice President comment is about a company, not a country

  • I think that this is the best skit they ever did. It's hilarious and awesome.

  • `RakastaaKissa, it has a lot to do with people having a wild sense of humour.

  • woops, actually he had a "meat hand", not a fish hand. I just can't seem to get my Canadian history straight today!

  • must think with our heads

  • Great, I keep telling everyone that 18th century Living History is really fun.

  • Can someone please post the Delfar 7 clip? "Destroy the planet". Let me know if you have it. Thx

  • Quite possibly the greatest skit ever.

  • I love how the Kids would do these skits that are so blatantly Canadian it's just like one huge inside joke to us.

  • @saltqueen84 I just posted this to a brit and they just think its weird....I adore red dwarf and black adder but I guess bizarre french traders just blows the british mind to much...oh such a shame...lol

  • @DinoDom26 I'm a Brit and I understand it perfectly. I first saw it in 1993 and laughed my head off.

  • LOVE

  • dude scott looks so good in a suit and slick hair, LoL this video rocks

  • @jackjolli I totally agree.. but from full suits to crocheted banana warmers, Scott looks good in anything.

  • I think they've found the solution to the energy crisis!

  • This sketch is amazing.

  • Back in the old days this would be five stars for the boat arriving in front of the store :P

  • That would be a great way to get dates too.

  • Can somebody please tell me the name of the song they are singing?! anyone?

  • @ryanlesperance777

look up Alouette (song) on Wikipedia

  • lol Makes me want to put some castors on a canoe and sail down the highway.

  • @MarionD1977

    Best. Idea. Ever.

  • the thousand dollars/punch in the face sketch is Scott Thompson and Mark McKinney..

  • Leurs sketchs ont toujours été étranges, mais je dirais que ceci est quand même un des plus surréalistes. J'ai pas cessé de rire pendant toute la vidéo.

  • jetant francais comme ca.. cette esquisse est ettonante...

  • Tais-toi mon tabarnak!

  • @tomdiggitydog lol at your online translator :D

  • Office seals...

I 'd love to see that sketch again

  • It's Mark who sings.
