  • um, i need a sonnet that i actually understand or that i know what i'm talking about.. [cuz i'm doing an audition & i have to use a shakespeare sonnet] . any help on an easy meaning sonnet? . i want this one. but i have no idea how to stage this.

  • @Jennay69x I don't think any sonnet lends itself to staging. Sonnets are designed to be read or recited.

  • I'm reading Romeo and Juliet...actually more like reciting the play and doing all the different voices..ehhe...it's a great exercise because it also helps with diction...I'm portuguese...thanks for reading this poem so amazingly...

  • that was very refreshing...I'm studying Shakespeare this year at college and I found the most wonderful book which contains all the works the poet produced...all the plays and the poems..it's a hardcover book by Wordsworth Library Collection and it's absolutely beautiful...

  • Very well done my good sir, very well done. 5/5

  • i like this version. i have to memorize it by tomorrow and it really helped me remember it! thank you so much!

  • i'm doing this for a drama festival, i'm scared, thank you for this, it really helps

  • am doing sonnet 18 for my recitation competition on tomorrow.. i'm so freaked out!

  • .if i were the director i would be saying.... Now Larry...who are you talking to? You are not talking to a piece of wet cabbage man ! Where is the sincerity...? I KNOW you can do better than that...

I did not believe it Larry :( ps...... I Like seeing your face...you have a great face. Boo and hiss to imovie. Will we ever 'SEE' you again ?

  • Thou cuttest me to the quick! How shall I survive?

  • I me fair Largo, I do love thee well ! Mine lips wouldst curse the faintest of smiles If thou shouldst die at my wording ! Taketh not my words to your frail heart brave knight....I beggeth thee dear sweet Sir Largo, do not die !

  • I shall endure . . . somehow!

  • lol...Glad to hear it ! Phew...that was a close shave.

  • that was very beautiful...very romantic words..^_^

  • I hope it isn't true, but in Shakespeare's day women's roles were usually played by boys, because acting was thought to be unseemly as a profession for women. Pity.

  • i love this...

  • Bravo! The visuals, the language, the reading, all lovely.

  • Thank you!

  • Refreshing. Thanks for the video.

  • Thanks very much for all the comments so far. I really appreciate it. Now that I have iMovie, I don't have to make you just watch my face as I read. I love being able to do video clips, text, music and voiceover (though sadly not at the same time - the music and voiceover, that is). I guess I could play music in the background and do the voiceover, but it would have to be continuous or it would sound terrible. Anyway, more leeway now. When I have redone all the old ones, I'll take them down.

  • We want more! We want more! We want more!

    5/5

  • Oooh! Oooh! Any plans to do Sonnet 116? :D

The pictures are lovely... are they flowers from your own garden?

  • Some are, but I don't do the gardening. Some are from other places. I just like to take pictures of flowers.

  • Terrific reading and nice floral photography.

  • you have an excellent voice for this

  • Quite Nice. I posted a vid response. It had been attached to your first reading of the 18th. :-)

  • Your voice does this piece justice - 5 stars/fav

  • I like these new poetry vids you're making, kep it up.

  • Beautiful flowers.
