@MrJdchevyman yeah my thought exactly...I thought maybe a small solar panel in order for it not to rely on the grid. so much to do and so little time. Never mind the cost of all this work. Thank god this is not the only solution to basement flooding. Certainly can do this on the outside walls and french drains to lower areas of the property.
There are battery backup systems that can be installed with the main sump pump.
