This is really great- i tried animating a horse myself. Its wicked hard, it took me 10 tries to get the legs and I didn't do so hot on the hair.

Hrm. Contrary to the head and neck comments, I think that it adds to the stylization of the animation, making the horse seem more noble for some reason.
