Ok guys let's see what VW said they will be world no.1 in sales by 2012 and they talked a lot about the nice looking great performance with low price ,will I think yes they can do it if they make more of what I see in the video VW have no problem with liability or performance but they do bring out ugly looking car with big price tag I know that VW is great car with unbelievable price that’s what make them a world car icon

If this design see lights of the day VW will have huge success. I'll already have 2010 model and this one looks much better. Its big step forward which I can not tell for new generation of Passat which is two steps back.

P.S. 9th VW driving in last 20 years this one would be the most desirable to have!!

VW makes Skoda and Audi.  All these cars are the same but with different lights on the outside or stretched a little.

@sfsTrader You couldn't be more wrong. Audi, Volkswagen, and Skoda are all run by separate groups of people and although most of their cars share the same platforms; they all feel and look different. Now if you were talking about Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury I'd agree.

@quatlen like i said, VW makes, designs, owns and sells VW, SKODA and AUDI. ALL three brands share the same parts and platforms......this means all three brands are basically the same but with different lights and slightly stretched dimensions, just like with Ford/Lincoln. There is nothing im "very wrong" about, do some research. FYI, Fords do feel and drive a little different from Lincolns from engine, insulation and suspension differences.

@sfsTrader Volkswagen does a great job in differentiating their products from their sub-brands. While you will find similarities between the brands they're different in styling, features, and purpose. Many car companies all over the world share platforms, that doesn't make their cars "basically the same." Think about how many cars share a platform with another car, A LOT! Go out and drive them or sit in them and you'll see the difference. Also I never said "very wrong" Thanks for misquoting me.

@quatlen the A4 and Jetta have the same engine, speedometer, exhaust system, door handles, hood, and taillights are almost identical. Just compare the models. All they do is change the style, like you said, but other than that its basically the same thing. A blind person could feel everything and tell its nearly the same. "very wrong"/"couldnt be more wrong", those phrases are so different its confusing..... Thanks for being a stickler.

@sfsTrader So there are a lot of similarities between the Ford Fusion and Ford MKZ, The Toyota Camry and Lexus Es, same for the Honda Accord and Acura TL, and many more . The point is that you can't condemn this issue with just VW, Audi, and Skoda because if you've ever been in any you'd know that they're very different. All car company's do it and everybody can see their differences and similarities. You're arguing about speedometer, exhaust system, and door handles and its bullshit.

@sfsTrader The A4 does not share that much stuff with the Jetta.some of the engines yes since we are talking about the VW groupe, the transmission of course but the similarities stop there because usually the Jetta uses the front of the golf and the rear of the passat.
