Speaking as a JKS alumni and successful working professional for several years since... Yes, I can confirm that an inordinate amount of JKS classes were indeed bull. The trick is to supplement your JKS education with as much independent research and real world experience as possible.
When i was going there i thought that some classes were bull but now ive been a professional for 15 years working for television and I know that things i thought were bull are the most useful. Learn to walk before you learn to run. YOU DONT KNOW SHIT YET
What their teaching in that school was techniques from 15 YEARS AGO! Using a copy machine to do blur/fade technique which can be done with a scanner and a photo-manipulationg program. You can learn to walk in a different school, cheaper, more interesting environment (drunkards much in Dover) and actually learn more!
So what is the story on the building going down? Out of curiosity, how many people are accepted there, I mean are the standards set exremely high just to get in?
The school is back, and from what I've been told by friends whom are attending there currently, it's better. The building was split into two; the "back" end, facing route 46, is being turned into a Walgreens, under Joe's watchful eye. The "front" end, where you enter the school, IS the school. The auditorium is gone, though, and from what I've been told, the animation department is going the way of the dinosaurs.
I would have to agree. It was too much for a lot of classes that were bull. The school needs to update its curriculum & techniques (using copy machine for what the computer can do for effect!?) I left the school after my 1st year and left the office an assessment on what it needs to improve upon. Did they listen? I doubt it.
And Dover is a real town, with real people. Really boring town with really boring people. No wonder most folks are drunks there.
I'm curious which classes's were bull? I've noticed a lot of people have many complaints with this school. I was accepted there, but decided to go some where else, I quess it's a good thing that i did!
They probably didn't listen to you because a) you're not a professional, and b) you have no background on school curriculum, let alone comic art curriculum. I'm sure your long one-year experience gives you the footing you need in order to assert your unfounded opinions on the subject of the school and the town in which it resides.
Kubys hahaha long time to be there!!! well lets hope this school closes down!! unless they start pooting some real teachers in that school and not riping off people!!!
