  • Ive got a 2000 Eldorado ESC (LD8 N*) and she shuts down at 110mph it gets there so quick it feels like nothing.

  • a tech II can de program the limiter ive got a 2000 eldorado etc ive had it up to 145 with about 1000 rpm left before redlining im sure it could pull 155 - 160

  • I beat the hell out of the Northstar in my 1993 STS. I sold it before it blew a head gasket like they all do.

  • @dogassedugly I think a dealer with a Tech II can do it

  • Ya, where is that elusive bastard chip?!?

  • northstar best engine EVER !!! this car need for me like 2 more gear's

  • i feel sorry for whoever buys that car after you

  • @ipodtouchfan221 Actually the Northstar engine was build for tough use and will run better if you run it hard every once in awhile.

  • Look how fast the fuel range is going down. Funny. NorthStars rule!

  • Thumbs Up if these cars look like pigs.

  • good cars but it is what it is.,, Northstar 4.6 Engines = be ready for a head-gasket repair or radiator replacement lol

  • My CTS shuts off around there too. It's a 3.6L. Wonder why it's 127 tho?

  • this car is great my dad have one but there is only 4 speed gear-box ... maybe if there was like 6 this car can go really more

  • I just bought a 99' deville concourse with the 4.6 300hp northstar I love it but its got a stupid limiter at 136mph but at that speed it feels like its just getting started :)

  • ya this cars limiter is at 129mph. i have got up that fast in 4th gear and half throttle. I felt like the car could do 145+

  • @Irocz11389 is it possible to get what ever limits the speed removed? new chip or something (i dont no anything about cars)

  • @Irocz11389 if it has 300hp it can easily do 150+. My Civic Si limiter keeps it at 134 but I've seen and unlimited version doing 148ish. And it only has 200 hp.

  • that wouldnt be hard at all. but the factory governed the car to 129mph.

  • @Irocz11389 at least the germans let you do 155 lol

  • @desimunda116 and the civic also weights alot less than a caddy so

  • @Carfreak1177 u can take out the limiters, there just hidden chips

  • @wallen2k9 where is the chips hidden

  • @da11az91 normally under the glove box im not sure about caddys tho

  • @wallen2k9 a relative of mine is gonna give me a 96 seville sts for my bday in october, and i test drve it to get use to the handlin but i gotta find that chip,& i love the car but gets like only 18 miles on a gallon

  • it would go even more faster if the last gear ratio woudn't be so long. But gladly it's usable at normal speeds in hwy. Low's the rpm's for better mileage. Nice car absolutely.

  • did yall see how fast his tank was going down?

  • If you mean tank as in gas, that's not the actual fuel amount, I'm not sure exactly, but I believe they run off of the throttle positioning sensor, basically a calculator, based on how long you'll be able to drive with the throttle in a certain position. Most Cadillacs get very good mileage for being heavier luxury cars.

  • ur exactly right.

  • AND with a 32v V8! I can't complain on their gas mileage.

  • ir we cared about gas we would have civics

  • uhh, I know you still care about gas, and civics aren't that great

  • the range changes based on the driving...obviously if the computer thinks you're going to cruise at WOT its going to adjust

  • Cadillac kicks ass!!

  • ya northstars son
