He wrote right-handed, but I'm going to have to call you out on the playing guitar both ways. I have seen photos where the negative got turned around making a mirror image, but I have never seen him play the instrument right-handed. Can you cite any footage or anything? Really. I am asking because I have never heard this before.
@BGo93 That is Jimis hand. The photographers name is Ron Rafaelli I believe. If you check out the linear notes of MCA's Jimi Hendrix Experience greatest hits collection they have the same pics posted in the cd booklet
This is an alternate mix of Bleeding Heart recorded 3-24-70. This particular version was 1st released on the bootleg album, Eyes and Imagination. The complete track was issued on War Heroes but that LP went out of print very soon after it was released. It wasn't long before Rainbow Bridge and In the West went OoP here in the U.S. as well. If you have a good copy of any of those 3 LPs on the Reprise label it's somewhat rare.
Opening number of War Heroes, originally. Hearing this now, it almost seems it really didn't need the other tracks at all. Just brilliant. Such a clear take; where's it from?
Cool video! This is the isolated guitar track of Bleeding Heart, the version that is on the South Saturn Delta album. Even without the bass, drums & vocals it's still a badass tune!
@duncality, you're a freaking idiot for cursing out Les Paul, especially the year he died, absolutely no respect. He invented the electric guitar. He invented recording gear and techniques we still use today. If he hadn't, Jimi would've never been able to record any of his music the way we hear it today. Jimi and Les had two completely differing styles as well. Blues and Jazz. You don't compare the 2 together, that would be like comparing apples and oranges; you just don't do it.
what a full sound for two guitar tracks pulled out of the mix that became Bleeding Heart. His original rendition of this Elmore James is an inentive, pathos saturated blues epic. These tracks are a metalic, futuristic, modernized reinvention of the blues. His attack is ferrocious and choppy, and his playing deft as ever. The fully developed track on War Heroes LP is a tight, condensed, multi-layered, improvisational, hard funk effort that would have crossed all racial barriers. Ups for posting!
too weird and original voicings, weird spots starts and stops, nobody could say it like Jimi, and Im sick of these Stevie Ray Vaughn worshippers saying the 2 are in the same league. O God, O God there is no way on earth or any planet the 2 are in the same league.
Anybody know if they have the instrumental version of Ezy Rider available anywhere? I've heard part of it on the Band of Gypsies DVD where Eddie Kramer is explaining how Jimi laid down the backing guitar tracks, but I'd love to hear the full uninterrupted version, especially since Jimi plays some really cool lead and rythm guitar at the same time. How the hell was he able to do that so fluidly?
@duncality My Uncle Les loved Jimi, and while Jimi is unmatched in creativity and passion, but technique-wise, Les was miles ahead of Jimi. Yes, Les was my uncle. Anyone ignorant enough to say "F--k Les Paul", doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. Do yourself a favor and look up some clips. Then be quiet...
@onefodderunit LOL that's a little more along the lines of a slippery slope argument. Saying Hendrix wouldn't be Hendrix without an electric guitar, however, is completely true.
Take a logic course kiddo and make sure your arguments are actual arguments. I would love to hear the take you have on religion considering your mind is so brilliant and all lol. take care
Would there be a Les Paul without the discovery that vibrating strings produce sound which can be amplified with the use of a ported hollow container? Of coarse not.

There isn't one single confirmed 'gassing' of anyone in WWII out of supposed millions and people are imprisoned for years right now in the EU for merely debating this topic.
How many Jews do you believe were 'gassed' in WWII?
@lughcious HAHAHAHAHA maybe if you hadn't drawn up the hilarious conclusion that the holocaust didn't happen I could actually take you seriously. Unfortunately, I cannot.
Please cite a scientific/reputable source that shows there are 0 confirmed "gassing"s as you called them. I guess you've never had to write anything of scholarly merit or you'd realize that without documentation you only look dumber than the chap who said nothing.
@lughcious Well it depends on what you consider "confirmed". Can anyone truly confirm something happened if they did not experience it themselves? and you could not experience a gassing without dying, so there is no true confirmation in the sense. But if you follow eye witness accounts it most certainly happened.
You're just trying to create a paradoxical argument, which I admire as a good strategy but if you've ever read the story of Meno you'll realize just how silly you turn out to be. :)
1) How many Jews do you claim were 'gassed', even though you are incapable of citing what you allege is a believable case of someone being 'gassed' in WWII?
@lughcious I could not put an exact number on it, because I do not make claims to things I do not know, unlike you. However, I can guarantee that there was at least one victim of poisoning/gassing during the holocaust because I have met multiple eye witnesses.
Second question, I don't know whether they did or not. Like I said, I won't argue something I don't know like you. But I'm sure on at least one occasion it happened considering the practice is centuries old.
You are afraid to post what you allege to be a believable case of someone being 'gassed' in WWII - So how many Jews do you claim were gassed? More or less than two?

However,a youtube video is not a reputable source. Like I've said time and time again it's very blatantly obvious that you have absolutely zero formal education in argumentation. the fact that you even took a les paul/hendrix argument here is hilarious.
If you're capable of reading abstract english, you should really check out the story of Meno. You could learn a lot.
@lughcious Why does it have to be more than two now? You were arguing for 0. You know if you change a premise, the entire argument changes, right?
Regardless though, I already told you I can prove (well enough anyway) from eye witness accounts that it happened. I'm not sure what ground you think you have to stand on because I have answered all of your questions multiple times.
Perhaps your english just isn't good enough to read my responses?
@lughcious I could allow you to speak to an eye witness of the holocaust that I know personally. But assume I could not prove it, it still does not prove it in the opposite circumstance. Like I said, your logistics are not there.
I repeat: You are a liar. You did not answer the questions you claimed to have answered and you know there isn't one confirmed 'gassing' of anyone in WWII, or you would have cited it nine posts ago.
@lughcious How old are you anyway? I think your parents should kick you off the internet and make you go to school a little bit more. Playing hooky has obviously caused the degradation of their son/daughter's intellectual ability.
Your brain doesn't stop developing until your mid 20's though, so it's not too late to turn your life around and start educating yourself. Do it, it's never too late.
@lughcious It's hilarious that you've turned this whole argument into one about the holocaust. I guess you wanted to take it there because you felt knowledgable about the holocaust? I'm sorry that the only thing you thought you knew, you were wrong about as well.
You realize that by default I win the argument? There were too many people in the holocaust, statistically, for these things to not have happened at least once out of pure chance.
You're good at looking foolish. Maybe be a funnyman?
@duncality Hendrix is the best. But dont' say "F%$# Les Paul". That guy was damn, damn good. Instead, say "F^%$ Stevie Ray Vaughn", then I'll be happy.
@3star2nr Well, I don't know how you got that from my comment, but certainly the sounds he has become known for were unique to the Strat. At that time there were no Stratocaster copies or Strat style guitars available.
Incapable, certainly not but the Strat was the instrument with which he was most comfortable. He owned, played and recorded with all sorts of guitars and in some cases it was whatever he could use, but I think it is safe to say his Strat was a trademark.
@3star2nr You really don't know that for sure and you are missing the point. Les Paul held a paramount role in the evolution of the electric guitar. Great players are a dime a dozen. Hendrix was one of a kind.
He may have used many guitars but I would like to know exactly when he used a Les Paul. It certainly is not the guitar that he is synonymous with.
@3star2nr If there had never been a Strat it probably might have been something else, but would the resultant sound ever have been the same? Would the same level of success and popularity have been achieved? No one can really say for sure now, can they?
This really has nothing to do with the song, but anybody ever notice what really nice hands both Hendrix and Stevie Ray had. I know that sounds weird but they really do have graceful looking hands.
for one thing, you CANNOT play guitar if your hands or arms or the least bit tense, these guys play totally relaxed, one has to be relaxed to play that fast....watch hendrix hear my train a-comin on acoustic, you can find it on my favorites. nice close up of his hands u can see how completely relaxed he is.
@combelue yea no shit, if u look his fingers are skinny and LONG as shit! He could damn near wrap em around the whole fucking neck! Hence his incredible boss-like qualities
This is a studio outtake of the song Bleeding Heart, from the album War Heroes. The vocal, drums and bass have been lifted so its just the guitar tracks heard on this.
true this is the blkeeding heart track and its just part of the multi tracked guitar mixes he put like a bunch of guitar lines on top of each other and brilliantly
@AXISOFHENDRIX I was wondering where you heard that b/c there's no record of Jimi ever calling it Double Guitars. Music in all would have changed so much if les wasn't there. Multitrack recording. Basically meaning that les innovated adding things into songs. Otherwise, it's just sound like the music was live everytime, which it did sound like before. Jimi wouldn't have been able to make any of his albums sound psychadellic if it wasn't for him.
I don't think people really understand how much les paul changed music. Not just for guitar, but in all.
true. Im sure Les Paul was an inspiration to Jimi as well as a number of other guitarists such as Albert King, BB King, Muddy and all those others before him.
Les' MULTI track recording was a FOR SURE influence!
@MaximumThompson Lol for a sec i thought he ment the guitar, and i was about to say well probably the same place since all he played was fender pretty much, i know he busted out the flying v a few times but as far as i can tell its stratocaster all the way
Good old Jimi, his rhythm was just as amazing as his lead Guitar playing. Bleeding Heart is one of my favorites. Does anyone know where I can get a recording of his version? Thanks... :)
If anybody has heard the whole jam session that Jimi did on the slopes of haleakala in 1970 you would swear, as paradoxical as it may seem, that there were three guitars playing simultaneously at times. Although in this particular song there are actually two seperate guitars playing, hence the name mutha fo's
This is the rythm and lead guitar tracks from the song "Bleeding Heart" from the War Heroes album and featured on South Saturn Delta. Pure FN genius !!!!
Wow! Where did you get this from? It sounds like just the main rhythm and the lead tracks from 'Bleeding Heart!' This and 'Highway Chile' are the 2 best tracks off the album War Heroes, and some of Jimi's finest 'late' work!

"where would Jimi be without Les Paul?"
Uh about the same level, a few things may have ran a different course, but Les Paul did not impact Jimi very much.
Maybe Paul's recording techniques were more valuable to Jimi then his style of playing.

Not just for guitar, but in all.
ripoffhitman 2 years ago

A more finished and polished version of this is on the south saturn delta album titled "Bleeding Heart".
Jimi85 3 years ago
Good old Jimi, his rhythm was just as amazing as his lead Guitar playing. Bleeding Heart is one of my favorites. Does anyone know where I can get a recording of his version? Thanks... :)

this audio really proves Jimi to be the best and shows how well he could just jam with ease
nin4lifefan 3 years ago
Though it isn"t Jimi in the video, the sound is him. Which in my words, I would describe it a sheer madness! Its too good to class.
Ayumimama 3 years ago
I know this is to state the obvious but withth all his jams and subsequent songs...he came up with the coolest changes.

Billy Cox's bass line for this song is really good, I'd love to hear a version like this with the bass added.

my ears bleed from such amazing-ness flowing into them...great jam...so awesome

If anybody has heard the whole jam session that Jimi did on the slopes of haleakala in 1970 you would swear, as paradoxical as it may seem, that there were three guitars playing simultaneously at times. Although in this particular song there are actually two seperate guitars playing, hence the name mutha fo's

were can u get the music from slopes of haleakala in 1970.

Wow! Where did you get this from? It sounds like just the main rhythm and the lead tracks from 'Bleeding Heart!' This and 'Highway Chile' are the 2 best tracks off the album War Heroes, and some of Jimi's finest 'late' work!
Very Cool - Thanx!
