Bored of this comparison now. A Focus RS owner and a megane RS owner are two different people. If a wall needed knocking down the Focus RS driver would hit it with a nice big sledge hammer the Megane RS driver would take it down brick by brick with care. The Focus RS is a muscle car the megane is not. Focus 325lb ft of torque from 2,300 to 4,500rpm. Megane has 251lb ft @ 3,000rpm. The Focus makes 40+bhp more than the megane at 2300 and 3000rpm for starters. No 2.5 to kill turn in in Megane.
The Megane driver wasn't pushing it ti ots limit 4 sure, especially on thise corners, that's where he could have made his kill, I still say Megane RS is the best car by far compared to all the hatches*that's my opinion*

@TheMarinTomas I totally agree - The Megane is much faster overall despite having 50hp less than the focus. The Focus wasn't being pushed hard around the corners but the Megane could have also been driven faster around those corners.

I was on the edge of sliding or sliding in every corner, what you can't see just looking in the video. sure I made more than few mistakes, but my fastest lap was a notch faster than the racing driver did in the same car on the same track ;-)

It must be noted though that on many tracks according to the website "fastestlaps" that the Megane is slightly quicker despite having less straight line performance and less sophisticated rear suspension.. The Focus, like the Golf has fully independent rear suspension.
Some sources suggest the Megane in fact produces about 270bhp on the dyno.
As an ownership proposition the Focus wins in most contests, It sounds much more exciting, drives in a more exciting manner, and looks more different to the base model. The Megane is fast but perhaps too clean and clinical..
Having owned a Focus ST and preferring my current Integra Type R I would in fact choose the Megane for its light weight. Its a bargain. Or preferably a real hot hatch: a R26.R.

In acceleration the FFRS is just amazing but to before taking a corner the MR3RS is just impressiv...what a fucking car. For me too much powerful kill the powerfull.

omg...the ford is so crap...the megane is superb...are u ppl blind...the focus is in the front far from megane...and in a couple of laps the megane reach the focus and if they continued to the next turn is clear the megane will overtake the focus...the megane is much cheaper than the focus..the focus cost much from megane but it handles like crap..and no exuses about the driver..the driver of the megane sems like a dickhead bastard

Have you driven an FRS and Megane back to back? If not could you please cite your sources regarding the Focus "handling like crap" Who, that drove the Focus, ever said something like that?

It must be noted though that on many tracks according to the website "fastestlaps" that the Megane is slightly quicker despite having less straight line performance and less sophisticated rear suspension.. The Focus, like the Golf has fully independent rear suspension.

Some sources suggest the Megane in fact produces about 270bhp on the dyno.
As an ownership proposition the Focus wins in most contests, It sounds much more exciting, drives in a more exciting manner, and looks more different to the base model. The Megane is fast but perhaps too clean and clinical..
Having owned a Focus ST and preferring my current Integra Type R I would in fact choose the Megane for its light weight. Its a bargain. Or preferably a real hot hatch: a R26.R.
Thats how to do it.

Maybe the "kill" is too strong word, but 55 HP weaker and at least 5k cheaper Megane obviously catches up on Focus when both are pushed on a wet race track.
