  • @p98CEMJ3289uv9 you'll need some huge fins or a bunch of nose weight to balance those cti motors.

i actually made a glass 29mm rocket that weighed about 1.5oz unweighted. weighed about 3oz with nose weight, and then a g79 installed in an interesting way. Launched it as a drag race, those things were gone in 2 seconds flat lol

  • @p98CEMJ3289uv9 hehe no harm done :)

  • @p98CEMJ3289uv9 actually due to sampling inaccuracies inherent in model rocketry systems, and what i'm guessing is a rocksim estimate of this rocket, and/or apogee's claims from rocksim, transsonic is described as mach 0.85-1, sonic is explained as mach 1-1.2, and supersonic is anything beyond 1.2.

also, i've flown this rocket, no way it hits mach 1.17...

  • actually it's not supersonic. .03 mach more and it would be :D

  • @edwinshap1 but why ? i mean mach 1 is the speed of sound :S

  • @sagasa456 supersonic is technically defined as mach 1.2, so its more of a technical definition than anything. however, the method used to determine the max speed of this rocket is very optimistic above mach 0.85 which is the main reason i say it's not supersonic.

  • i love this.
