This was when everything went downhill for "Survivor." The entire cast, with the exceptions of Cirie, Sally, and Terry, were all AWFUL! Aras is THE WORST WINNER of all time next to Richard Hatch. This was also when the show fell out of the Top 10 most watched programs of any television season. No wonder the producers divided the tribes by race in "Cook Islands." My teachers, my friends, and I all quit after watching the show regularly after episode 2.

Thank God they changed the rules to the hidden immunity idol. Now there are way more blindsides and risky moves. Plus it took them awhile to find a magnet like Russell who just always seems to have one.

many of the cast from all star (season 8) onwards were actually paid (hired) to appear on Survivor. Cirie, Dan, Misty, Austin and Courntey of Panama, Coach, Taj, Tyson and JT, all from tocantins and many, many others were offered to be on the show.

This was said in an article. The reason behind this is because mostly audition tapes received by CBS were all reused or from the same people seasons back.

In Survivor Fiji, all the cast were recruited except Gary.
