  • I don't think he needs that microphone

  • slick ric nows how to cut a promo

  • "which brings me to Michael P.S. Hayes.... THE SPANDEX COWBOY!" lol.

  • Whenever I hear this guy talking I cant help but wonder exactly how much chop is this guy taking a night. Im not saying anything bad about flair either the guy could make tons of people fork over good money in hopes of seeing him get killed. Just saying I get the impression that a lot of coke has gone this guys snout.

  • You didn't see Flair at the Orange Bowl vs Dusty Rhodes? 50,000+ in attendance

and no FREE tickets given away (like WWF did at the Silverdome)

Face it...you are a youngster who is enamored with the hype. Back in the days BEFORE pay per view and wrestling being a rock & roll show, Flair sold out stadiums and arenas because people wanted to see "The Man" or see what the biggest heel in the sport got what was coming to him.

  • @Sommelier97 And the WWF did not give away free tickest at the silverdome

  • Classic promo by Flair.

40,000 dollars on a belt? That sounds like Jim Crockett. Flying around in that expensive jet and spending too much money. WCW's ring product around this time was great. I can't deny it. WCW had the management issues for so long though. The old revolving door.

I remember that fool pizza man Jim Herd. Pizza and wrestling are two different things. He fired Ric Flair and it set off a firestorm with fans down there.

    Spartacus gimmick?

"We want Flair" chants every where.

  • Ric at 38 years old.

  • Young wrestlers...watch and learn from the best promo guy ever.

  • Woooooooo!!!!!!

  • Charlie Sheen can learn from the Nature Boy cause he's a winner lol

  • Flair is in spectacular form for this promo... No person watching this when it originally aired doubted a word he was saying either!

  • That is the greatest belt ever.

  • And putting guys over like nobodies business.

  • Flair was the best. He could talk it like nobody else. He could be a heel like nobody else. He could also be the hero, and he could wrestle. He could take a beating like nobody. The man was tough with incredible stamina.

He could walk that line, pay the price, strut, etc. lol. THE MOST ENTERTAINING WRESTLER OF ALL TIME... PERIOD.

  • why can't we get these type of promos today

  • "Spandex Cowboy" Great one liner!

  • That gold wrap-around-the-waist trophy was huge! The Man, The Naure Boy, delivering a typical sermon to the chior.

  • Hogan couldn't hold Flair's jockstrap. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Hogan's wife Linda rode Space Mountain back in the day. :)

  • Ric Flair was the NWA World's Heavyweight Champion on March 21, 1987.

  • HE LOST HIS FUCKING MIND

  • the vOiCe of a TrUe ChAmPiOn LegEnD!..woooOOOO! x0O

  • ric is a legend on the mic,but he is over hyped, and really thinks hes the godfather of wrestling. bret hart and hulk hogan had already wrestled infront of 90 000 at WM 3 by now. he is entertainin 2 watch but was only good when he was gettin beat up.he says bret never sold out arenas, WTF, he came in sseries 1991 for a year or 2 and went sraight back to wcw, what ppv arenas did he fill or headline, nothing compared to bret or hulk in the 90's. wwf was way bigger, y wasnt flair apart of that.

  • @thewheats85 You would be incorrect. Flair sold out many football stadiums in the 80's wrestling for the NWA. He was the headliner, and defended his title for 30 straight nights against the best in the Bash 1986. Hogan did wrestle in front of 90,000, but did you know that the WWF gave away over 30,000 tickets to get such a high number? As far as Hart goes, yeah, he was a great wrestler, but Flair outdrew hart easily. Hogan drew a lot of money obviously, but he couldn't talk like Flair.

  • @thewheats85

I have never seen someone who was so very very wrong with a statement. Is 85 the year that you were born because Ric Flair had sold out football stadiums long before Hogan and Hart.

Better go read up on old school wrestling before you come on here and make an absolute fool of yourself.

Damn...I think we're all a little dumber for having to read your drivel. Please turn in your playbook and exit to the door on the left

  • Comment removed

  • @Sommelier97 Flare is nufhin Cena is da best of all time he have Belt mo den n e 1 eva did

  • @Sommelier97 just curious, what football stadiums? The Von Erichs were the draw for the Parade of Champions in '84 in Texas Stadium. Comiskey wasn't a football stadium and didn't sell out at SuperClash. What are you talking about? Because Hogan DID sellout the Silverdome and Exhibition Stadium. Hogan is the harbinger in wrestling. It's not a real sport. He didn't have to be the best 'worker'. He certainly wasn't ASKED to be. While Flair was obviously envious, Hogan was printing money for McMahon

  • @cbaldwinjr

Wrestlemania is acomplete joke for wrestling

Liberace, Cyndi Lauper, Robert Conrad as guest referee, Mickey Rourke fighting with Chris Jericho, Mr T...seriously? Mr Fucking T? Floyd Mayweather Jr wrestling The Big Show? Snooki (The human fucking bowling ball), Donald Trump

    Face it...Wrestlemania is a joke

  • @Sommelier97 you just named a shit load of celebs that partook in Mania, how is it a Joke??

  • @Sommelier97 I don't think you are saying any of that with a straight face...

  • The dirtiest!!!!

  • The dirtiest!!!!!

  • This is Flair at his best on the mic. today he is a lunitc shouting he is GOD.

  • i surprised he hasn't had a stroke with all these promo's WOOOOO

  • @TheMichaelW1

    i know, right?!

  • LoL, 1:09 "this belt probably costs more than the house you live in" This was in the 80's now after the housing market collapse, you can be guaranteed that it's worth more than the house you live in.

  • @shizzle5150

No shit - especially if there really was any actual gold or silver in the belt - which I'd be inclined to doubt, of course. But if there were actually any precious metals in it, it may be worth millions now. :)

  • gotta love these promos

  • He is the best

  • Geez, man. He was something. I wonder if he actually believed all of that shit he said. I think he actually did or he couldn't be that convincing. What a douche.

  • @danteras23: "If you know anything about Ric Flair...the truth is his promo's were gold not only because of delivery, but because Ric lived every word. He lived fast, hard, extravagant & always spent more than he had. He didn't have to believe what he was saying because he was living it!"

  • @danteras23: "If you know anything about Ric Flair...the truth is his promo's were gold not only because of delivery, but because Ric lived every word. He lived fast, hard, extravagant & always spent more than he had. He didn't have to believe what he was saying because he was living it!"

  • wow I didnt know they had the same belt then, that they have now, I mean I was bron in 86, im sure they updated it over the years though.

  • The day i get tired listening to a Ric Flair promo is the day they put me in a coffin.

  • and now that the Miz is WWE champion people are now comparing him to this living legend. What a joke. I'd rather watch these old Flair promos than anything in WWE today

  • @JPAUL7890 You got that right.WWE is a joke.Flair in my opinion was,and always will be the greatest wrestler ever.He lived his gimmick in the ring and outside the ring.Everything he talked about from riding first class in airplanes, wearing the best clothes, and driving fancy cars is true.He talked and did it all.Flair is the greatest.

  • @JPAUL7890 , true very true. Ric Flair in his Day was 100 times better then the Miz and Even the Rock in my opinion. who a lot of Today's fans think is the best on the mic period. Rock is good but compared to Flair in his Prime... no contest. Flair outshines them all.

  • @Astraldragon1 Rock is great, and I'd dare say Rock at his best was probably on par with Flair. But Rock isn't really active anymore. Of the active guys, probably only Chris Jericho can repeatedly and consistently deliver platinum level promos these days. While he doesn't go as manic, that's not the point. He just uses a little bit different type of characterization.

  • I miss "Rasslin" don't really care for sports entertainment.

  • The Spandex Cowboy is where I lost it. LOL

  • "The dirtiest player in the game" Enough said.

  • Just because you couldn't make it as a horsemen doesn't mean your careers over

  • I like Arn Anderson better.

  • The best part is how he goes "BUT, THE BOTTOM LINE IS!!!!!" four times.

"And, last night, Jim Crockett, who made me wait a month, walked up to me and put this back in my hand. Read it! The name is RIC FLAIR and it goes on this for the fifth time. And I know, that the Crockett family, hates putting their hand in their pocket for Ric Flair. Because...I'm already...a multi-millionaire. But, the bottom line is, I'm the best wrestler in the world today, whether you like it or not!"

  • Greatest wrestler ever.

  • YOU ARE STREET TRASH....BAD STREET TRASH......AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH

  • Def. cocaine fueled!

  • Someone needs to upload the Christmas promo Ric did when he pulled out $1,000 dollars out of his pocket. He gave Tony Schivone $200 & told him to buy his wife something nice for Christmas,$500 for Magnum TA to buy some REAL clothes & $300 for Dusty Rhodes so he can buy a one way ticket out of town. That was priceless

  • I LIKE IT BECAUSE HE ALWAYS GAVE CREDIT TO HIS OPPONENT HE SOLD THE SHOW

  • ashley shaffer BMW

  • Extremely good. Ric needed a nice glass of cold water at the end. What a talker!!!!!!!!

  • I deeply believe all the stuntin u see on tv, whether its rap videos or mtv cribs, whatever, Ric Flair started it all...

  • Ric was the standard by which ALL others were judged. And ALL others came up lacking.

  • "...I will NOT move out of that big house! I will drive NOTHING but Mercedes or Rolls Royce! I will go NOWHERE on a commercial airliner! I will ride in NOTHING but limosines! And I will make love to NOTHING but the best looking women in the world! Y'know why? Because I'm a WINNER!"

    Awesomeness.

  • Is this a face promo?

  • awesome belt and sunglasses

  • when i was a boy. I thought to my small mind at the time. How could someone cheer for a man whn comes to the ring wearing all these Fancy robes, Pink tights and be the champion of the world? But as i grew older i saw the true gift that flair was and that was he was the biggest loud mouth of all time! wooah

  • Once again a great promo by the master of old school promos...the one...the only...Ric Flair. Whoooo!

  • this is one of the greatest promos i have ever seen

  • I met Ric Flair once in Tennessee and asked him what he thought about Michael Hayes,Flair said he was and is a massive fan and that the Birds were the most influential team in wrestling.

  • My God he wrote the book on promos I just bowing to him.

  • Talk that shit Rick! True swag baby...super stuntin'...the Dirtiest Player in the Game. WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

  • Pure Art...

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • This was a great promo. You have to see "Ric Flair: Real men stay up" it was a promo after the Horsemen injured Dusty. "That's why this sports coat cost $800, that one cost 200 and I don't know how much that one cost, but I'd be ashame to wear it."

  • my shoes cost more than your house lol good times

  • wow! great promo! he calls hayes the spandex cowboy lol funny shit

  • Take notice all you wanna bees. This is how you behave when you are a real champion. Flair respected BEING champ. Never be the same as the NWA in the 70 & 80's

  • Ric Flair didnt steal shit from Buddy Rogers, Buddy didnt act anything like this, Ric has his own swagger, etc....

  • @ManPigApe He may have been an influence, but Flair was all original, one of the best If not the best wrestler/ talker in the history of wrestling!

  • the guy knows how to do a promo

  • does any1 knows what the promo where he says now everybody knows i live in the biggest house etc

  • xxmcneilxx, he mentions that in like every promo! Search for his "Golden Spoon" promo.

  • The golden spoon promo slays me every time. Absolutely indescribable!

  • Greatest promo I've ever seen. It was already world class and then at around 3:00, he takes it to the next level. This perfectly encapsulates all the facets of the Ric Flair persona and shows why he was both hated and loved by so many.

  • i love wrestling promos. i wish other sports would give the same promos. just think if kobe gave a promo like this against shaq

  • WOOOOOOOOO!!! The man, the legend!

  • WHOOOOO Flair RULES!

  • he is a good preacher

  • i luv how he goes off at any moment

  • Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! tha Nature boy is tha shit!!!

  • Ric Flair is awesome.

  • Ric Flair was one of the greatest wrestling walkers and talkers, bar none.

  • there's no one today that can touch his high level of caliber on the stick.

  • Dude, Flair is the best ever. Hogan, who's that? It's like comparing me to Bill Gates........

  • I'll give Hogan his due, he did bring a lot of new fans in. But I always thought NWA wrestlers were better/more genuine/not so campy. Seems to be lost these days.

  • NWA wrestlers were REAL

  • Spandex Cowboy?!

best description of Michael Hayes EVER

  • If Flair hadn't been a wrestler he would have been a great preacher.

  • or a great rapper

  • lol ive always said that. could you even imagine though?

i wonder if any preachers get their inspiration from flair?

  • Ric Flair could promo something awful like Nascar and probably convince me to watch it. Putting on that Flair swagger is like a god given gift.

  • Hands down THE best promo/mic man in the history of wrestling.

  • AMEN brother. Nobody could talk on the mic like Natch.

  • The best ever and that's the bottom line!

  • Technically this was Flair's 6th World Title.

  • The WWE seems so boring and dumb now.....

  • RIC FLAIR 3:16 A TESTAMENT TO THE 80'S

  • Fuck driving anything other than a Benz.

  • yes he is talking shit to piss ants like yourself.

  • see nwa was based on real life street shit and wwf with hogan and warrior was on that superhero shit. that why i think nwa was better than wwf

  • i agree

  • yeah only cool if your under 10 yrs old lol

  • I could'nt have put it better...WWE is a disgrace to me. I haven't watch wrestling since '96. Road Warriors, Ole and Arn Anderson, Jimmy Valiant, Ric Flair, Terry Funk...you get the picture!!!

  • ur rite...i had the blessing of growin up in charlotte,nc. my dad and i saw ric flair on numerous occassions walkin alone in downtown charlotte. nwa="the best"

  • Mic Skills Second to NONE!!!

  • Ric Flair is Santy Claus

  • This is classic Ric Flair. He's a true showman in the 1980's. May of us hated him but you wonder when will he shut up. WWF and WWE couldn't pull off the showmanship he displayed.

  • The best wrestler on the mic ever.

  • The dirtiest player in the game...PERIOD. Nobody could do it better than Ric Flair.

  • Telling the absolute truth at 3:09.

  • Simply the best ever period.

  • AWESONE VIDEO, thank you. WOOO!!
