Rogue is such an interesting character and definitely my favorite x-men! I love her character so much that I even dyed my hair in that signature "skunk" look. Though it looks more like Evolution's Rogue rather than the 90's hair. ;)

Yes, it's more interesting when she can't just single-handedly win any fight, but at least needs teamwork to get into position.

The movies avoided Rogue entirely by always making some excuse for her to not be around for the action. Even though she was an important character in the first movie, she didn't "do" anything.

they didnt portray this rogue in the xmen films which i felt was wrong, they should have got britanny murphy or pink to play this character...the rogue in the films was a plane jane...far removed from why i loved her in the comic strips and cartoon..she had attitude, was feisty, edgy , southern american, rebellious! ...thats why she was called rogue. the hollywood films messed up that 1 they so could have done it better its like they got lazy!

@reeeltalk The Hollywood films messed up so much more. Storm, core member of the X-men team, played by Halle Berry no less. You'd think she'd have decent screentime, but she barely made any impact. If any at all. Cyclops, ditto. Angel was barely even in it at all. Beast? Just the third movie. It was all about Xavier, Wolverine and Jean. The others were forced into the background. Hardly appropriate for a movie about a TEAM of mutants.

I'm sorry guys, I never read many comics when I was younger and I only just recently got back into the Marvel/DC thing. I found out Rogue lost her powers, then re-gained the ability to absorb others' powers and memories, then learned to control it. Does she currently not have the same powers she got from Ms. Marvel or did she get them back? Again, sorry for asking what may seem like a stupid question, I'm just wondering because I always liked TAS version of Rogue the most. I love the X-Men :P

@bhavvv Wolverine and the X-men has great story and action and a big cast. X-Men Evolution had an interestin' and refreshin' twist and great story and character development. This, The X-Men, captured the X-Men durin' their best era, cool Jim Lee style suits, great cast and some of the storylines we would have like to see played out better now a days, but the episodics where kind of haphazard and certain thing were kind of corny in a funny way. -lolz

The REAL Rogue was not nice at all. The only reason why she made a good Xman was thanks to Ms. Marvel's hero personality.

Despite how powerful Rogue is with Ms. Marvel's powers, she got trashed by the Vision (can't absorb an android's powers), then Wonder Man (can't absorb pure energy), and was beaten very badly by Iron Man (can't absorb armor) all on the same night in Avengers Annual #10.

A little later, When Carol became Binary, she almost killed Rogue in battle.

I never understood this ending...In the comics, the Ms Marvel never entered a coma, she just lost her emotional attachment to her memories. She became different in personality and emotion. In this cartoon, when Rogue touched her at the end, did she 'recover', regain consciouness or what?

@JPMOLLINEAU My guess. I think they wanted to keep it more dramatic and not get into the whole binary/the brood stories. Placing her in a coma added more of a dramatic effect and made it so rogue was more of a character desiring redemption. I think the end may have been a nod to the comics and Carol may eventually wake up but missing her memories and emotions.
