i think this is a split screen effect.

the guy on the left uses a backgrond familiar to the one in the movie (in this case a very good background) then he gets the part from the movie and take the other guy out and replace it with him cause if u notice when he said "is that a thong ur wearing" his hand wasn't pointing straight at it (i dont think he would do that any way) but if he did point straight then his hand would have prob been cut out thats y it was limited. but great editing.
