As one of ZZTop's hardcore fans, the song sounds too compromised with boy bands' pop songs, losing ZZTop's peculiar country hard rock rhythms heard in a lot of previous masterpieces. Did Reverend Billy intentionally make it that way to get rid of their image and sounds of country rock band? I can't help but love their Amish looks and rhythms of 1980s.

I agree. This is a great compromise of sounds. Some of the old some of the new. It's gotta be rough when you are ZZ. I mean pleasing 40 years of fans. Just stop the moaning and enjoy before all we are left with is Nicklecrap and Puddle Mudd. Anyway I have a sneaking suspicion there will be some La Grange-esq stuff on the new record. They are playing the Houston Rodeo this year(March) and will be showcasing the new stuff. WOO HOO!!! PS so the chorus is catchy, that means bad? I think it's great

I remember the 80's where you could hear ZZ Top aired from radio stations, you watched them on television (elminator clips...), that was a great time. I love their 70's "root" albums, and also their stronger albums (Rhythmeen, XXX, also I love the Mescalero), BUT this actual great song is for radios, and television. Is it a little bit pop music? Yes, couse they can write GREAT pop music!!! I hope they return to the radio stations, and TV like the 80's era!

Its obvious this song is intended for radio. And its about time!!! Rhythmeen, XXX, and Antenna were more guitar oriented albums with awesome guitar work to put Billy Gibbons back on the map as one of the all time greats. Pincushion, Black Fly, Vincent price Blues, She`s just killing me, What`s up with that, Antenna head, world of swirl, Isn`t love amazing, Ninja shack, Poke chop sandwich, and Bang, Bang! Critics complain ZZ needs to go back to there roots. What the F*** for?

so much for the 'back to basics' many fans were anticipating. They were rumored to have been working with Rick Rubin, and writing with the Black Keys, but this is just some straight-up pop nonsense. The brilliance of their first 7 albums I was hoping they'd try and recapture... I can't be the only one disappointed with this track, right?

The chorus does`t sound like ZZ Top today - more like a rock band from the late 80`s or first 90`s but the rest is close to the Rhytmeen-album. I totaly like that sound but it still is nice to hear that they are moving away from the rough tone they had on Antenna/Rhytmeen/XXX and turn on the fast beats again. I´m really looking forward to that album-been waiting too long already so get it done and get it out-also on vinyl.
