this is a horrible demonstration, for this is not what the constantinoples are meant for, only get these if u play jazz. the cymbals have incredible stick definition, and they ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT BE PLAYED WITH PLASTIC TIPS, also, I have found that these cymbals sing much more with a small ball-tippied stick, plastic just doesn't allow these cymbals to show their true potential
@knowgeddy play whatever cymbals you want, just because cymbals are made for jazz doesn't mean you should ONLY use them for jazz. limiting yourself wont let you find your perfect sound for cymbals
@armedwithturtles im not saying that you should not play other styles with these cymbals, im saying that they are intended for recreating the sound that was present during the era of some of the greatest jazz drummers. (Max Roach, Tony WIlliams, Philly Jo Jones, Jimmy Cobb, etc.) Of course you should play every style with a cymbal in order to find your sound and you make a good point
Qualcuno mi spieghi come minchia abbiano fatto ad ottenere questo suono (tom e timpano sono fantastici) con una batteria, anche se LUDWIG, che non è neanche microfonata..........................
@kane00456 your comment is nothing short of fascinating stupdity.....zildjian sucks ?..your brain dead....there's no such thing...i'm a paiste man and have played zildjian in the past for 2 decades and can say with certainty that they do NOT suck as you so eloquently put it..if you had any knowledge of cymbals, or drumming you'd know that it's all a matter of preference in tone and sound..every cymbal co. makes cymbals to suit every drummer..not our fault you're too ignorant to realise that !
i am very glad to have seen this. The K Constantinople set was to be my next investment, indeed they sound magical in isolation (especially the crash) but this drummer's penchant for modern beats shows that the hats in particular are unsuitable for anything other than vintage musical pieces. A very expensive mistake avoided, so thanks!
Mad skillz. Superb technique, superb sounding kit, superb Constantinople cymbals.

@R6GGR I can totally see what you mean. However, I think it's an awesome vibe to put these vintage sounds in a modern musical context.
