im so happy you made this! lol in 2009 we stayed in the hotel grandvia,[the one in the station] and it was amazing! , i couldnt belive it was a hotel, shopping centre, museum, theatre and train station all in one. hah truley an amazing place :]

@lissheim Thanks for checking out Toshi's channel! You won't find all of his music on oiomusicproductions. Toshi deleted & started a new channel when he was wrong about who would win the world cup lol..This particular track though, Toshi emailed me. So you wouldn't find it on his current channel either. Toshi is one of the most prolific music creaters you'll ever come by, he just keeping pumping out great tracks & still manages to remain creative without sounding repetitive. He's very talented!

I was so surprised, as I have left Kyoto station and was right in front of Kyoto Tower!

I really loved Kyoto! Of course there is a lot of culture to see, but also the people are very polite! And Kyoto oldest noodle house is very good ;)

And yes, I loved Kyoto station, too! Did some nice shoots of the entrance, while the the sun was shining through some pillars!

@JustMiyabi Yes I was surprised how many places there were once we started exploring. There are so many hidden restauraunts all over the place & lots more shops underground beneath the bus station. It really is incredible...have a great weekend Miyabi & its nice to hear from you : )

The architecture is really cool. Yes, that certainly should be on the list of the "World's Top Escalators" lol amazing. At 5:45 it looks like you're going right into the sky.

My husband and i were in Kyoto for 3 days but didn't really spend that much in the station except to go on the trains all over the city. Hopefully someday i go back and explore the Kyoto station and the city a little more.

@Nitesraven Yes there's way too much too see in Kyoto in one trip, I always look forward to heading back. This was the 5th time I've gone up the escalator. Actually the last time it was late & turned off, so I had to climb up lol

Mick I have nothing else to say about that station other than sugoi! sugoi! What an awesome piece of infrastructure. I wished you had found your way up to that walkway that would have been spectacular.

@cloudstrifeification Yes I think that walkway is a private walkway for a hotel. We might have to stay there next time, we've stayed at the Dai Ni enough times now...sugoi is a pretty good way of summing it up, cheers mate : )

@tbone1143 Good to hear mate...yes, great care should be taken when karaoke'ing. It can be dangerous lol...The new camera did take some great shots. The wind muffler I made muffled the sound a little too much though. But it has taught me I need to conduct a lot more tests before I shoot a whole trip with untested equipment.

Kyoto station was awesome although I didn't explore it as much as you did. Never seen so many escalators in my life and they were so big. Actually, everything in Kyoto station is big.

@hoosierhana Kyoto is a great place, I still have a fairly long list of things I want to check out in Kyoto. Your mums going to have a great time with you. It will be probably be very hot, but not as stuffy as Tokyo gets in September. Man I almost died the last time I was there in September, luckily there were many beer vending machines around or I would have been a gonna lol ; )
